Most METAL Scale | HUNGARIAN MINOR

Музыка

In this video you'll learn all about the Hungarian Minor Scale. It's one of the most metal scales you can play, containing a minor 3rd, b5 and M7 for maximum evil. In addition to the scale, I'll teach you counterpoint phrases, chord progressions and even an etude to get familiar with the sound. So grab your axe and let's do this muhahaha

Almost certain that this scale is used in the last riff of Bathory Aria, the final lyrical+narrative song from Cruelty and The Beast, the concept album all about a fantastical and fictional (but very metal) retelling of the life of the Hungarian Countess, Elizabeth Bathory. It really wraps things up because A) obviously, the countess was Hungarian noble living in the late 16th to early 17th century, and B) it sounds evil as hell. I may be wrong about this, but every time that part of the song starts my brain just screams HUNGARY HUNGARY HUNGARY, especially because much of it is chanted by a choir. It sounds like a track that should have been in Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
