Teague running down then taking the ball from the Miami wr is one of the better play's I've ever seen.

George Teague clowned that game.

If I remember right that was Michael Irvin that he took the ball away from, and it was a play that never happened. Alabama was offsides so the ball came all the way back for a first and 5 yards to go for Miami. I might be getting a place mixed up but I believe I'm right

@@keithsmith3840 ......No that was Lamar Thomas, but had he scored, the points would have counted. So he actually made a great play after the penalty.
@jaredfarmer77

Jim Beam this is correct. Play did not count as a turnover/fumble recovery for Teague because of the penalty but play would have counted as a touchdown if Miami had scored because they could have declined the Penalty

The play is all the better when you remember that in a press conference before the game, one of the Miami receivers said that the slowest guy on their team was faster than the fastest guy on Alabama.
Watching this video made my eyes swell with tears out of the pride it has been to have been born in Alabama and being surrounded with the best programs in college football history, being a lifelong Alabama fan has been if nothing else but a lifetime of pride when it comes to the best teams in college football history and considered by many the best and considered by me the best of the best!!
Don McNeal's hit against Penn State preceding the Goal Line Stand is one of the most underrated plays in Alabama football history, I'm glad you included it

Definitely Barry Krauss hit on Mike Guman, in the '79 Sugar Bowl vs. Penn St. There s so many plays and great games over the years. My first recollection , growing up, was the '73 Sugar Bowl vs Notre Dame, 24-23, thought unfortuna tely, a loss but a great game
God bless Kevin Turner. What a true fighter!
A great Pre-Saban era video. And a mostly Post-Bryant video as well. It's good to re-live all of these great in-between dynasty moments in Alabama football. Like the Prothro catch, Van Tiffin's game winner, and all the great moments from the '92 National Championship team.
Palmer, Prothro and Arenas were some of my favorite to watch play the game in Crimson! Electric and exciting every time they touched the ball!
Wow! It just makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up watching this! And to think that I could have and should have been on that 1992 National Championship Team if I hadn't got injured my senior year in high school. I was being recruited by Alabama in 1989 as a defensive back. But God had a different plan ,however I watch this I feel like I was part of the team at least with my heart ! Roll Tide!
Very classy to put in Kevin Turner highlights. Well done.

@@johnbarnett2316 Toby Sheils, Number 61, from the 92 team is a good friend of mine. I went to high school and played football with his twin younger brothers. They lived just around the loop on the same street as mine. Became very close to the whole family. Excellent human beings one and all. Your right, they become almost part of your family. `I used to fly up to games in high school with former Alabama and Green Bay Packers QB Scott Hunter. His son and I played football together and Scott took a liking to me and invited me along for every home game. I was and still am very Blessed. Especially to have earned my degree from the University. Lord how I miss Bryant Denny Saturdays. No other event compares. When I walk in the stadium I know for a fact that I have something very much in common with nearly 90-100 thousand people. Unfortunately, I live in Louisiana and have not been to a Bama home game in years. However, I never miss them when they when they come to LSU and play. I don't live to far from Baton Rouge so its nice to see them when I can. As I look back on my 44 years of life I can honestly say that my time in Tuscaloosa had a profound impact on me. believe

What a waste!! Tyrone Prothro should have had a great football career. I was at the game when he suffered his CAREER ENDING injury and couldn’t figure out why they didn’t just kick a FG. We were playing Florida and the game had been put away early... it was OVER!! But coach Shula wanted to drive up the score and i kept saying,” why in The hell is the field goal unit not out there??” At this point in the game Prothro should not have even been considered to be one of the 11 out there. That last play for Tyrone Prothro was so bad because it was so UNNECESSARY!!
The prothro catch behind the southern miss guys head was hands down the craziest thing I ever saw when I watched it with my dad.
Teague in the 92 natty game when he run down miami WR and took the ball from him that shit was awesome !!!!
I'm a WVU fan, no love for 'Bama, but this is awesome. One of the best, if not the best, traditions in CFB.
I feel happy to be a Crimson Tide Fan
Your videos have kept me alive this offseason. Thanks bro and great job
Thanks for the memories. Just found this today and really enjoyed it.
Great video. Thank you for giving us Bama fans to watch until next season. Gene Stallings was a GREAT HIRE FOR BAMA IN THE 90s.

@@SusieMILLS-qk9bu his first game against LSU, he was third string running back. Something happened to the 1st and 2nd sting rbs so Shaun had to go in. He said in his book that he had little sleep the night before and when his name was called he was terrified. That game Shaun ran all over LSU. It was a fun game to watch. I'm the kind of guy who enjoys running the ball up the middle or off tackle and having a great defense. Gritty ground and pound.

@@danielw2650 In your opinion what is the best bama play in history? Im 41 so I was 12 in '92 when Bama spanked Gino Torretta and the Miami Hurricanes. We were a big underdog going into that game but they didnt know much about John Copeland and Eric Curry. Or George Teague and Antonio Langham. My favorites were Derrick Lassic and David Palmer. Our QB Jay Barker was pretty good as well. But that Tua 2nd and 26 was lights out man. I mean.... CURTAINS!! Kenyan Drakes kickoff return ranks up there as well. And of course the goalline stand!! 😉RTR

Kevin Turner was a beast old school fullback. Shaun Alexander was the man, too. Good stuff. Roll Tide Roll!
This is 🔥! I had been to several games before, but my first National Championship Game that I attended, was the '92 National Championship. Seeing Teague high step into the endzone, and his rundown takeaway, always takes me back to that moment. Awesome memory. I had a ticket to Bear Bryant's last game, at the Liberty Bowl, but my mom said it was too cold for me to go. I think it was 8 degrees that night. My brother got to go, but I didn't. The ticket to the '92 Championship game was a Christmas present from my brother. So, izallgood.

Great video, but where was Jeff Dunn's long TD pass to Pierre Goode in the 1987 Alabama-Tennessee game? Cornelius Bennett's sack of Notre Dame QB Steve Beuerlein in 1986? Rory Turner "waxing" of Brent Fullwood in the 1984 Iron Bowl? So many great plays to choose from, hard to say which is the greatest; my pick would be the goal line stand against Penn State in the 1979 Sugar Bowl. Glad to see that one in the video. And then came Saban. Mt. Coby, 2009 SEC championship, 2011 Natl. Championship, 2017 Natl. Championship. May the dynasty roll on.
I mean, I loved Kevin Turner when he played at Bama, but his inclusion on this list is more than a little suspect. Those were some run of the mill plays.
Thanks for putting this together. Criticism: Suffers terribly from lack of context. A little paragraph before each play describing the year and the situation that makes it key would have added so much.
God bless Ricky Turner.
