    @@KARATEbyJesse LOL I mean your humor is getting a little more biting/sarcastic. In America, Swedes are known for being very earnest, nice, and polite. Especially the Swedish-American community in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Mike and Seth are from the South. Southerners are sometimes known for being a little more blunt.

    Back in the day for board breaking we had some sort of hard plastic board where the halves fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. Those were actually quite hard to break. You had to have your technique on point.

    In my taekwondo school in Alaska, we used to break one inch pine wood boards. If they were dry, it wasn't too bad, but sometimes you'd get a moist batch and you could kick those things forever without them breaking. I remember my heal really hurting after several axe kick attempts.

    hey jesse been following you about 8 years now, started from the website, loved reading your stories, I am a shodan in shotokan,always felt the unrealistic stances katas were a waste of time but after learning about bunkai from your experience i now undertsand there is so much more to karate than meets the eye, hope to travel to okinawa someday too.     Hey Jesse! What kind of wood are those board made of and how thick? I usually train with pinewood cuz that's the cheapest around here (it's for firewood anyway lol), but I'm looking for more challenge. Also.. do you have any videos on training/using Keiko-ken? You know.. the index finger phalange fist/AKA Phoenix fist? I train that too much like you'd train ..umm.. Nukite/spear hand?

    Nice fun video. I e been trained for 42years. Shotokan was my first style. Have done TKD WING CHUN BOXING AND GUNG FU .. ALWAYS WILL HAVE A SOFT SPOT FOR SHOTOKAN..
