Who’s ready for an ultra-expensive, ultra-luxurious drag race?!
We’ve got our hands on four different Bentleys, and let us tell you this may be one of our most valuable races yet!
So let’s run through the line-up. Starting off we have the Continental GT Speed. It’s packing a 6-litre twin-turbo W12 that’s good for 659hp and 900Nm. It’s pretty heavy, weighing in at 2,200kg, and it’s also pretty pricey, setting you back around £225,000.
Alongside it we have the Continental R. This is powered by a 6.75-litre turbocharged V8 that can put down 420hp and 880Nm. It’s even heavier than the GT, at 2,400kg, and one of these today will set you back around £150,000.
Up next is the Turbo R. It’s got a 6.8-litre turbocharged V8 up front, which is good for 302hp and 660Nm. It’s even heavier than the last two, at 2,450kg, and one of these today will set you back around £40,000.
And then finally, we have something very special - a Bentley Blower! It’s 93 years old, it’s powered by a 4-litre supercharged 4 cylinder that’s good for 240hp and 350Nm, and it’s worth an eye-watering £20,000,000!!!
That’s right, it’s our most expensive drag race yet! But which of these beauties will cross the finish line first? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

The fact that someones actually willing to allow that Blower Bentley to even be started, let alone driven, and RACED is simply extraordinary. Maximum respect to the owner, the Blower wins just by turning up.

@@melodi_music_official its irrelevant in my opinion who owns it or just how much money they have, that car may have a physical price tag, but think of it, that car is over 100 years old, the methods, knowhow and the people capable of making some or most of the parts, by original methods is long gone. If that car crashes, if it loses a body panel, any damage to the engine, anything at all, it will never be the same again. Yes they may have the money, and the modern day equivalent of a fix, but there are parts on that car that are simply irreplaceable. One minor issue and that cars value is irreprepably damaged, it's probably the reason that it's only worth 20m and is now owned by bentley, where its properly cared for. Somethings, money just cant replace, my friend!

@@wickedmartyn I'm pretty sure bentley would still have the drawings and even if they didn't they could easily reverse engineer any component that failed. As for know how, anything that could be made 93 years ago could easily be made using modern CNC machining

@@craigfennema1672 there is a gentleman I know who has 2 '31 Model A Fords. One is a truck and the other a convertible. I believe they're pushing a whopping 45 hp or so. The old Fords are pretty cool. Your '32 sounds pretty neat.

I didn't know a car older than most viewers in this channel will be on camera doing a drag race.
Seeing Mat and Yannie all buddy buddy in the back of that Bentley, goofing around and everything was the best part of this drag race😂😂🙌

Props to the guy from bentley to race the blower twice in drag race and in the ending of the video with all of them. Even if it is an old car, he still launched it 3 times cuz he knows how to have fun.

Either would probably work
New Continental GT is peak performance + design combo in auto industry. Car that looks like that and does 220mph is basically unbeatable in my eyes. Im an Audi fan but that is just amazing
I love it, how the german guy said, "uhh the kickdown took a while" and in the subtitles there was written "wow mat is an amazing driver. i love him" 😂

Seeing a grid full of vintage Bentleys racing at full chat at the Goodwood Revival, I can testify that they are as much fun as the guys showed after having a ride around the runway! Brilliant and full props to the owner!
great video mike loved to see a 100 year old a 20 million pound car going at 80 miles and hour really amazed me
The end with all 4 in the Blower was Golden! what a cool memory for all 4 of you to share a high speed run in a 100 yr old, $20 million car!

That's the pure sound of a big engine with absolutely zero "anti pollution" features, zero filters, zero catalitic converters, zero fumes return valves, zero anything. Absolutely straight, clear piped engine from intake to exhaust. In early 1900s no one gave a fck about car pollution or even thought about it. Even though im all in favor of protecting our climate and our lungs and like how strict the modern rules are for combustion engines, we gotta admit that that completely pure, clear and beautiful big engine sound is absolutely lost to time, forever. And its one of the things that really give that car its 20 million value

I owned a 93 Turbo R in 1998. It was magnificent.
The fact that everyone got to go for a ride in the blower is awesome. Props to whoever signed off on that car to be on the runway for this.
the blower is basically a 20s race car, i knew itd be quicker than a normal car from that era but it was far more impressive than i expected

10 years later, I'll be crying at how cars sounded, for now I am enjoying how 93 year older cars sounded.
Ohhhh, really like the end of it... getting a chance to have a ride on this classic Bentley!! Please bring more classics to the channel!!

Really enjoyed the whole video especially when Matthew and Yiannie are there having fun the entire time 🤩
Doesn't matter where it came, the 93 year old Blower won, simply by the fact it happily did full sends up and down the runway. There are plenty of modern cars that have broke down or got a bit flaky in these drag races. I'm sure Bentley give that car a complete blank cheque to keep it in perfect condition, but still, I was genuinely impressed it did everything without a single problem, and the fact the Bentley guy was really chilled shows he had a lot of confidence in the old girl
Most fun video ever, loved it. Also very impressed by what a 93 year old Bentley was capable of, I didn't expect that at all!

Massively impressed with those big drum brakes, really cool vid this one :)
The shot in the brake test where you can visibly see everyone stopping except for the blower and it just speeds off frame is my favorite part of the video 😂😂😂

I liked this race a lot! Generations races are always fun but its not often you see pioneering designs put to the test.

That Blower is really cool. As a mechanical engineer it is interesting to see how far technology has come.
Absolutely the best ever . Love the cool Bentleys, and the fact that they are so quick even if they are luxuryous and heavy cars. I would so much love if you someday could have one of the older Bentley Mulsannes in a race.
That ending is really fun. It felt like I was hanging with friends.

Not sure about the modern ones, but the older Bentley's were designed to last a lifetime and not break. If by chance one did break and it had to be transported to Bentley for repairs they would cover the car so no one would know. Nowadays I have no idea if it is still the same though.

I'd love to see the Blower vs a 250 GTO. Both are kickass, beautiful cars.
