40:39 Jettro, if you haven't been told already, it's death, period. The spell kept Baldur from _ever_ dying or being permanently injured, and Freya was so terrified because at his birth, the runes foretold he would die a "needless death", which she mentions during the period where Atreus was sick. Thing is, the only reason Baldur dies here, is because he was too mad with hatred and rage for her for doing the spell to listen to Kratos when he gave him a chance to walk away. He didn't _have_ to die here...and so he died a needless death, because of the spell Freya cast to prevent it in the first place.

A little detail i didnt notice until later is that Atreus' eyes glow when he speaks the Old Tongue, a little tease of the fact that Language is one of his godly abilities. You can actually see it in Ragnarok as well when he tries to summon Jormungandr agai

44:08 Baldur dying means the start of Fimbulwinter, which leads on to Ragnarök. Ragnarök is destined to happen, meaning Baldur is destined to die to start it. To try stop it all from happening, Freya curses him with invulnerability to all threats physical or magical, having all living organisism's swear an oath to never hurt Baldur. Except for mistletoe, because Mistletoe was too young to swear an oath. Freya knew the prophecy and tried to change the outcome; Baldur most likely unknowing of it.

26:24 So I know some people might be confused but allow me to explain it to you. That is a piece from the arrow given by Sindri (He called them Missiletoe remember?). Missiletoe, in the original myths is Baldur's only weakness. The only thing he's weak to are them and he can actually die from them. This is why Freya was so persistent and angry at the sight of them and told Atreus to change the arrows as she burned the missiletoe ones.

44:00 This is just my speculation Jettro, but this might help. Remember Freya has _nothing_ right now, except her friends in Midgard, the boar and the turtle, and so much of her life, her position as a Vanir goddess, her marriage to Odin, the world around her, have all either turned out horribly or are falling apart around her, and considering all that, the only thing she had left to comfort herself with, was the fact that her son, her "dear sweet boy" was still alive, if miserable and hating her. With him gone, Freya feels like one of the last remaining things that made her previous life as a proper goddess, and in particular the wife of Odin, is gone, and she now has practically nothing, no ability to fight, no chance to return home to Vanaheim, no support among the Aesir, etc., so, along with her beloved son being dead, how that ties into the _rest_ of what happened to her is hitting her again. Like Freya said earlier, she ultimately "did this for herself". She lost _her_ son, and one of the last things that was good from _her_ life before Midgard.

The cycle ends here, Kratos sounds just like his dad

To explain the zombie frost giant, Mimir talks about how Thor killed him and he froze the village with his last breath, Freya is possessing his body with her magic but it doesn't reanimate him fully just enough to use the body to fight.
