I was so hyped. I was in grade 9 came home and filmed all of his at bats. I was losing my mind when he hit the deep drive to left.

No mention of the Vlad Jr walk off in Spring Training vs STL in Montreal? To me this was absolutely EPIC.

His dad was the best in the dirt to homerun player of all time. Even bounced pitches got taken for a ride

We watched Vladdie play for the Fisher Cats a bunch of times. My son lost his mind when he heard the news he was pulled up.

Not even close. Just thinking of guys like Jason Heyward who hit home runs in their first at bat. Basically all of those guys would clearly have a more electric debut than a singular base hit late in the game. I would even argue with Heyward he was just as electric of a hype machine when he came up.

For a couple seasons at least. It's been desperate watching the Jay's the past couple seasons. They should be generating so many more run based on the talent on paper. Unfortunately the game isn't played on paper and there is something very wrong with the Blue Jays offense. Blue Jays batting ranking by HR2019 - 2023, in order, 9(247), 8(88)*, 1(262), 7(200), 16(188). *If they kept that pace for a full season it would have been 237HR. They've dropped 40-50HR from that time, and currently rank 16th for the 2024 season. What is going on???
