Yes, it makes it seem like it is devaluing all of the singers and comparing them. I liked the previous seasons better that didn’t have the six-chair challenge (seasons 1-9), but I don’t blame them for adding it because they probably wanted to add something new to the show since it was probably getting too repetitive. Sometimes it’s fun to watch but for me at least it is overly dramatic, draining, and kind of sad.

I like the six-chair challenge! This is a competition until ONE stands alone. Having said that if you don’t bring your A1 game, or chooses the wrong song, you’re done. Well, not done, but this layout really brings in the best of these fantastic contestants. They all have it, and the question is can they rise above under extreme pressure?

agreed.. they basically prevented the last two girls from getting their shot, then made rayell and scarlet have to participate in a sing off, and for what?? for some one they have only heard once or twice, and from when Sharon was asking where she was hiding her "talent" (I didn't care for her last "song" at all), she obviously didn't bring her A game to that one previous performance... And for all that, a talented girl, scarlet, lost her shot.

I really hate these 6-chair challenges. They're agony to watch. Didn't mean to click on this, but did by accident and decided I'd give it another try, and nope ... I'm halfway through and I just can't. It's too upsetting. I don't know how the contestants manage to handle the stress, let alone SING on top of it.

@@elliottgower97 Well... yeah!! That's what "6 chair challenge" is. To cut each of the 4 categories from about 15-17 acts, down to 6 acts which then go to "Judge's House". Then the category mentor Judge picks 3 of the 6 (most often) to go to "Live Shows". Then, sometimes, a 4th is picked as a wildcard to go to "Live Shows". Usually picked by one of the other 3 Judges. That usually means 16 at "Live Show 1". But sometimes it has just been 12 acts. The season "Little Mix" won, they did not do "6 Chair". The 4 Judges just decided. Then they had 8 acts go to "Judge's House" for each of the 4 categories. In groups, they had already picked 7 acts. Then they had staff call the 4 girls out back on stage and asked them if they thought that they could work together as a group. Thus "Rhythmix", then changed to "Little Mix" was formed. They were the 8th act to go to "Judge's House". The rest is history.

It wasn't that Ash didn't want to join them, rather she kinda did or else she never would have made the decision to join them. Rather, she can put in a tight spot that was a possible win-lose situation. Think about it, Ash came on the show to sing with her friends/people she knew very well. So, she either had to pick her friends over her dream, or her dream over her friends, which can be a very nerve racking decision. Namely because if she chose her dream, her friends may view her as a backstabber or a traitor because she chose the dream over them, though that is only a worst-case-scenario. But, if she chose her friends over her dream, she may never get another shot at it again. And while the others may have been trying to use her, you can also tell that it was also to Ash's benefit because Simon NEVER ONCE stated that the girls wouldn't go through without Ash. He simply said that he thought Ash would fit in with these girls. And at the same time, it made sense since the girls were mostly sopranos and high altos; a low alto would just bring the harmony together. So, while she was torn about which way to go, Ash also took into account that this may be her only chance to get a record, let alone become a winner of the X Factor, which is why she chose to go with them. And more than that, she was faced with the reality that if her friends were true friends, they would be upset at not getting through but happy that their friend got through. TL;DR Ash was stuck with the choices of her dream or friendships possibly going in flames. She chose her dream/future career.

Not really though, because they were right. Ash’s group had already been rejected. They wouldn’t gain anything by holding her back from her chance out of spite. With that in mind, REAL friends would be happy for her. She had no good reason to say no, especially because the X Factor contract specifies that you CANNOT release any content of your own for two years once you apply. This was her only chance.

I actually agree with Louis... Benji is sweet and all but he was the weakest link in that group. I think his nerves are what ruined it for him. You could tell he was more nervous than the other two and it showed in his voice.

sharon has such a heart of gold, she's always my favorite judge to watch interact with contestants

At the end when the boys and the girls had to have a sing off. And the boys had to go home i was devastated. They came all the way from the Philippines and then just have to go home. I was about to cry😭

performers are like 500- 1500 years ago, slaves exposed or gladiator figting for a sit & judges are the owners of those bodies. yeah buisiness is rough.

Sad stories,disabilities,cancer or any other sad thing will get you through. They feel obligated to put you on stage.

If they were judging appearance as well, a whole bunch of people wouldn't have won. Benji is actually a very handsome young man, considering other people in this world. The first one I don't think she should have gone through. They were really pushing it by saying how they believed in her story and voice but she didn't show it. Louis made the right choice to not put Benjin through, his voice cracked and was a bit too emotional that ruined some of the vocal potentials he could have gone with the song he choose. The other two, you could hear the range and the notes they could go. I still felt bad for Benjin. I think Scarlet should have stayed and Elisa should have left. Elisa sounded too squeaky and loud when she did the range. It sounded like she was screaming. I don't think Simon should have let the group go through like that. The other girls seemed really greedy just to get through. They didn't care if the girl would fit in the group. I don't think Ash should have been with them because I honestly don't think she added anything to the group and didn't fit in. Her voice was more powerful then theirs and I couldn't even hear it in the group. I also think the two groups who where challenged were much much better.

Really you don't hear from the winners ok where are some of the one direction members now? Rak-su they have a new song called I Want You To Freak. Little mix have a album now and the also did a song with Nicky Manaj. And you say you don't hear from the winners. I bet they are lots more successful X FACTOR winners out there that I haven't mentioned.
