Faced by much larger armored units deployed by the Indian Army on its borders, Pakistan has long placed a high emphasis on fielding modern, and sophisticated tank units to complement asymmetric assets, such as ballistic missiles and nuclear rocket artillery with a powerful conventional force on the ground. Despite having a fully professional army without reliance on conscription, Pakistan’s armored divisions are still among the largest in the world with around 2,500 tanks thought to be in service. The large majority of tanks in service are either Chinese designs or jointly developed Sino-Pakistani platforms, with China’s emergence as a world leader in the field of armored warfare technologies having benefited Pakistan’s situation considerably. The only exception to the South Asian state's reliance on Chinese designs was the acquisition of the T-80UD tank from Ukraine, which is the heaviest tank in the Pakistani Army today. Pak army has acquired VT4 tanks from china which are parallel in quality with the T 90 tanks of india. Altough india has a large number of T 90 tanks i. e. 1400 in comparison to 300 VT 4 tanks of pakistan. In addition to this pak army also has T 80 ud and T 85 tanks in their inventory.

and for now those T80 are going to sold to ukrainde for a bag of rice and wheat are T80 are old and most of them are not fittwd with Targeting system and Infrared sensors they are just peace of shit comapre to indian T90 and still we have Arjun mark 2 they are enough for your chinesse tanks which they copy from russians ones with worst engines made ever in histroy

No amount of NERA (non explosive reactive armor, or non energetic reactive armor) or ERA (explosive reactive armor) can save such large vehicles from the massive amount of Anti-Tank weapons floating around the world. If you keep up with the war in Ukraine you will understand how Modern MBTs perform when faced with Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missiles.

True but the main reason for the failure of the tanks in Ukraine is the russian doctrine. Infantry support is vital.

Info on the T-80UD is wrong. It is the best protected T-80 variant and was the latest T-80 variant at the end of the Cold War when the USSR collapsed. Of the T-80UD family it is the best protected due to the welded turrets, (Ukraine further developed the T-80UD into the T-84 and Oplot). The T-80UD is therefore better than the T-80BVM in perhaps all areas unless the Russians have introduced a new combat management system. The T-80UD has a diesel engine instead of gas turbine, hence the designation, T-80UD. The Type-85APII is better than the Al-Zarrar in every respect, mobility, protection, and firepower. The Al-Zarrar is also a Ukrainian designed upgrade package, not Sino-Pakistani. The only thing better on the AZ than the Type-85APII is the commander's sight. A Leo II and nearly any other frontline NATO MBT would eat the AZ for breakfast.
