For someone who is american, studying russian for almost 22 months been to moscow 3 times in the last year. This is the best advice and help i have gotten at this level i am at right now. I am overwelmed! Wow. This has to be advanced in language skills. Thank you Dasha and Janey. Did you ever see the American movie, “The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming!”? It shows the difficulty between the languages in a comical way. I like the movie for many reasons but the main reason is the Americans and Russians work together and end up liking each other.

It's a very strange feeling when you keep swapping between Russian and English. At first when I started learning, this was like suddenly walking up a steep hill but after over 2 years learning I could follow almost everything that was said and the change between languages was nowhere near as difficult. Absolutely excellent advice from two of the best teachers on KZread! Thanks so much!! 😊

The biggest Russian grammar mistake is letting him to put in instead of just put him out.

Я умею говорить пять языков и португальский язык это мой родной язык иногда я путаю глаголы движения на русском языке, откровенно говоря , я приведу пример: глагол заехать, проводить, т.д , мне необходимо объяснения 😊😊😊😊😊😊

Во всех. Некоторые плеонастические словосочетания закрепились в языке и не считаются ошибочными, например: спуститься вниз, подняться наверх, период времени, экспонат выставки (латинское exponatus означает 'выставленный напоказ'), народная демократия (демократия в переводе с греческого языка 'власть народа').
