Moses Farrow defends Woody Allen, claims Mia Farrow was abusive

The adopted son of filmmaker Woody Allen is defending his father against accusations Allen sexually assaulted his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, three decades ago. In a lengthy blog post, Moses Farrow said he "can no longer stay silent" and his father "continues to be condemned for a crime he did not commit." Bianna Golodryga reports.

I fell down a rabbit hole while researching this topic and can't leave this page without commenting: Gale King says Moses has been estranged from the family since 2009 as if that weaken's his story, when in fact, it supports his narrative of escaping the dysfunction. He isn't the first of Mia's adopted kids to flee the family; Lark was estranged and chose to live in poverty w/HIV rather than go back to Mia. Two other adopted children escaped by suicide. And well, Soon-Yi married her way out of the Farrow clan. That's FIVE kids, not just Moses, who found life with Mia unbearable. A second attempt to discredit Moses was playing footage of him at 14-years-old fielding questions from the press about his sister's sexual assault claim against his father. Is that something a good mother would allow her teen son to endure during the stress of a family crisis? It's also apparent he was lying; "he doesn't have good morals," Moses says as his eyes look down. Then, when asked about the attic, he says 'yeah, yeah,' as he looks away. Moses Farrow is a therapist specializing in adoption trauma therapy, making him an expert on this topic. He understands trauma and would have no reason to come forward unless he felt obligated to do so. There is more for him to lose than gain here.

PLEASE don't make any assumptions about what Gail was trying to do. I know Gail's opinion on this, but that is besides the point. Gail in no way tried to weaken Moses' testimony. She was assigned to present Dylan's perspective because she had talked to her. Just because she presented Dylan's take doesn't mean she agrees with her.

Dylan and Ronan are constantly looking for public attention by means of the media; in order to serve their mommy's false allegation. Yet they shun the courts like the Plague. The Farrows have NEVER accused Allen in any court. They haven't done so in 27 years, they don't do it today, and they won't do it tomorrow. Ask yourself why. Hint: making a false accusation is punishable by law. The Farrows are fully aware that the truth may come out once they get in court. This is why Mia keeps on conducting her revenge vendetta through the media; successfully deceiving the audience; and will not have due process run its course with Allen.

Bryan Williams I don’t know how it Works in US but in my Country (and generally in countries here in Europe) there is an entity that regulates the code of conduct of journalists, and the journalists have a license and they shall respect that code of conduct - independently if the journalists work for National media or private media groups. Sometimes they cross the line but they can be judged for that. In Gayle King’s Wikipedia informs that she is a journalist. I’m not sure if in US a journalist needs a license or just needs to promote a self entitlement, to work. I presume that exist regulation.

You believe Moses? Here are some of the glaring inconsistencies in his blog post: 1.) The police reports of the scene of the molestation CLEARLY state that there was a toy train in the attic, as do pictures taken of the scene, so we know that point in Moses's article was false. 2.) Additionally, we know that the babysitter's reported that Allen went missing with Dylan for 15 minutes after the event, which is another statement completely contradicting what Moses said.

Why doesn't Farrow take him to court? Maybe she knows it's all a lie and she can hurt/ruin him more by just keeping it in the news. Allen and his much younger wife have been together for years. They seem really love each other which probably drives Farrow crazy.

He was never found "innocent" because there was no trial. Although he had persuasive evidence to prove his case in court and an arrest warrant had been drawn up, the Litchfield County prosecutor, Frank Maco, decided not to pursue the case in order to spare Dylan the trauma of a criminal trial. His opinion was that there was "no question" Dylan had been molested. The girl has always told the trujth.

The ONLY evidence Maco had was the testimony of a scared and confused seven year old girl caught in the middle of a vicious custody battle. That's not "persuasive." No physical evidence. In fact, the medical report showed it did NOT happen the way Dylan described. Dylan changed her story multiple times, and admitted to the investigators that she "made it all up." The housekeepers now admit to lying under duress of MF. Moses admits to lying under duress to MF. The prosecutor who made that statement was reprimanded for unprofessionalism. The more you look into it, the more you see nothing is there.

False memories were such a problem in child abuse cases in the early 90's that they have since changed the protocols for investigating abuse to control for this psychological mechanism. Kids are highly imaginative and will say and eventually sincerely believe what they think their parents want to hear. The child truly believes these things occurred. It's called "confabulation" thru "False Memory Syndrome." That's what happened here, and it's very sad.

Yes, I do have an 'idea' that they are false. And you should have that idea too, if you care to respect the law. The allegation against Allen received due process, and was investigated thoroughly, by multiple independent expert parties, all of which concluded that the abuse did NOT took place. So the prosecutor, who stood empty-handed, decided to NOT prosecute. Hence no charge, no trial, no conviction. This makes Allen as innocent as you and me. The law wants us to respect the outcome of due process, and this is that we consider this allegation as false. The Farrows NEVER went back to court to file a charge. They still can do that any day of the week - but they won't. Ask yourself why. No new facts have come up in 27+ years to warrant re-opening of the case. No other woman has EVER accused Allen of any wrongdoing. All we see and hear is Farrow mudslinging. Because they hate WA so much, they want to keep their false allegation alive. Because people buy it - and *maybe* that includes you.

I admit this kid a lot for breaking the silence and telling his story, the truth. "Read the reports, the reports say a lot" you conclude? Why didn't you say what the reports concluded? Two formal lengthy investigations that took months to prepare with extensive interviews of all the parties involved, including Dylan, one by the Yale-New Haven Center for Child Abuse and the other by the City of New York Division for Child Abuse [not sure of the exact titles but you get the idea] concluded emphatically that there was no evidence of child abuse to Dylan by WA. The Yale investigators--social workers, psycologists and MDs--concluded that Dylan's accusations were her fantasy based on coaching by her mother. WA and Soon Yi later married and adopted two daughters and you can be sure that no adoption agency or lawyer would allow an infant/young child to be placed with a parent where there was any hint of trouble. I long admired Mia Farrow for her humanitarian work, especially her success at making international adoption more easily available to Americans. Tragically, she scarred her adopted daughter Dylan evidently beyond repair to hurt WA.

Mia Farrow is the embodiment of the “halo effect” A blonde, beautiful wealthy white woman who has painted herself as an angel, a savior of children. I don’t think it’s hard to pull her grift off considering how easily the masses are fooled and how titillating salacious gossip is. Unfortunately I think one needs only scratch the surface to find major cracks in her story, to see that sexual abuse is far more “exciting” than emotional and psychological abuse. It’s so easy to pin things on the little man, who’s not conventionally attractive, who did something a bit odd and who’s just not a warm and fuzzy fake. Marrying Soon Yi and staying married for decades is quite different than molesting a child. He wasn’t Soon-Yi’s parent, he wasn’t with her when she was young young. The Dylan situation is so wildly different when you look at it from a pathological POV. Just doesn’t fit, but Mia being scorned was smart enough to draw the parallel, she betted on the over simplification that journalism thrives on and knew her pristine white finger pointing at him would be cloaked in purity and I think what’s she’s done is far worse than him marrying his stepchild.
