What i love about this game is that it brings back the early mortal Kombat story. A story that was just being told by text up to that point. Now we get to relive it, until it "skews into this tangent..".

Funny how Raiden can heal Jax in the beginning but can't help Lou or Kitana or any of the others after that

He was cocky. Which is the same reason Liu Kang died too. Liu Kang was too obsessed with protecting Earth that he didn't listen to Raiden when he said Shao Kahn had to merge the realms without victory. That's what Liu Kang didn't see over his ignorance.

The Soulnado would've made Shao Kahn invincible. As Raiden's future self saw. Future Raiden probably didn't stop the Soulnado, which is why Future Raiden died
