I never appreciated Oblivion Daedric Armor until I saw the concept art for it and installed a retexture that is sadly no longer on Nexus to really make what was in the concept art pop.

I really like the steel armor in oblivion, not only does it look realistic to something in history, but the shine it has really does define "A Knight in shining armor" to me.

You can download “immersive armor” mod for skyrim, it has tons of good looking armors including morrowind sets.

Morrowind has a nordic iron helmet and cuirass. It was can to equip these items in an iron armor set for comparison with the armor of Skyrim. That's what's good about Morrowind. There, most armor sets have alternative parts.

I was disappointed in the dark brotherhood gear in Skyrim..

Skyrim Armour > Morrowind Armour > Oblivion Armour

i love how oblivion is basically the awkward middle child of elder scrolls games. i honestly can’t hate it, the awkward bulky colorful shit gives the game its charm.

I will never get over how bad Dwarven armor looks on Oblivion. You like you’re in a tin can.

Glass armor in Morrowind is absolutely brutal. It's my favorite fantasy armor of all time, and the fact that it fell of pretty hard in next games is kinda sad.

What I like about it, is that its glass gems and pieces embedded in metal armor, as opposed to almost all glass like the Oblivion style. Never was a fan of the lime knight armor. I wasnt a fan of the aquaman armor in Skyrim either.

Oh definitely. I always go full glass in morrowind. Everything in morrowind was more raw. The orcish, daedric and dark brotherhood armors for example. There was almost a horror aspect to Morrowind that I love.

iron armor looks great apart from the head, i hate how because they had facial animations, they uncovered the faces with the armor, the glass armor looks horrible though.

I like most of these, they all have their own uniqueness to them... Well, except for a bunch of Oblivion ones, they look kinda goofy, not gonna lie.

@@jordonmuskego3098 well made plate was historically quite form fitting. modern buhurt/old tournament armor has skewered the way many view medieval armor.

Skyrim’s definitely look great, but something about every armor set pretty much having a thigh length skirt piece just threw me off. Particularly hated the design of it for the steel armor. Also missed elven armor

Daedric armor looks metal as fvck in all 3 games. I love it.

Finally someone I could agree with. Really would like all these armors from these games to be remastered cause they all got potential except for a few that look outdated.

Its Stalhrim Armor not Ice

my opinions on the armours from each game (with the opinion that the armour in every game sucks because it's TES and they cant model good armour for shit): chitin: skyrim. much more coherent, you can actually see wtf is going on dark brotherhood: oblivion. while yes, the hood is rather odd, there's a sense of uniformity with the rest of the armour. no weird leather patches or dumb musculata. glass: skyrim. it's a refined version of the Morrowind set, with the sharp silhouette but distinguishable features. also doesn't have a dumbass helmet leather: oblivion. looks quite comfy actually, and a much more aesthetically pleasing design than the others. all the helmets suck though. fur: tie oblivion and skyrim, but all of them are ass. oblivion because of the hood/cap, and skyrim for its tunic chitin: skyrim. it's just better. also doesn't have that weird chitin speedo. ice: skyrim. i hate stalhrim armour but that doesn't compare to the sheer idiocy of morrowind's design. shit looks like something a model would wear on a catwalk in the 2020s orcish: oblivion and Morrowind. morrowind's helmet is quite unique and i very much so like its design. oblivion, aside from the helmet, has a decent orcish set reminiscent of real world lamellar. both still suck but they arent the worst daedric: skyrim, but morrowind's helmet has a dope concept. dwarven: skyrim again, but the only thing going for it is the helmet (one of my favourites actually). ebony: skyrim, yet again. one of my favourite sets in the whole game, it's a clean design with few flaws in the way of it actually looking decent for an elder scrolls set. imperial: skyrim and oblivion. oblivion has a really nice helmet, iconic even, and the rest of the armour is alright too. skyrim has a very different aesthetic but does the "fantasy rome" look well iron: cant choose. they all suck BAD steel: oblivion. it's probably one of the best designed sets in the series. looks inspired by real world Italian armour

Morrowind best ❤

As much as I adore Morowind as the series' best, and its attention to even small details in the armor, I feel the spiky glass armor just looks ridiculous, unless you're an Argonian.

Ebony armor would look great if it had the gold on it.

for the most part, i like the way armor is in skyrim and oblivion, but morrowind's ebony, steel, and orcish armor are pretty nice compared to the others.

Skyrim will always be 120% better in every way that's facts

Skyrim’s armor design is timeless. They did such a great job reinventing the look of so many of the armors while maintaining the familiarity from past games.

My preferred takes on the armours Chitin - Skyrim Dark Brohood - Oblivion Glass - they all suck but Morrowind Leather - Oblivion Fur - Skyrim Bonemold - practically the same but Skyrim Ice - They're both good Orcish - 100% Morrowind Daedric - Tie between Morrowind and Skyrim Dwemer - Oblivion Ebony - Tie between Morrowind and Skyrim Imperial Steel - Oblivion Iron - Morrowind Steel - Morrowind

I miss the Dwemer aesthetic from Morrowind. It very much sold that they were a far more advanced steam punk type race. Why the Dwemer armor and Dwemer armor/enemies and locations in Skyrim kind of watered it down.

Most of th armor were designed very well in Morrowind took multiple steps backwards in Oblivion than got fixed in the Skyrim All except the Imperial Steel armor I'd much rather Oblivion Imp armor than Skyrim Imp armor

Some of skyrims armors are fine, but my GOD orcish armor is just completely ruined! Going from oblivions beautiful and historical scales and lamellar, to just... an even WORSE version of the nonsense overlapping on the daedra armor is such a downgrade. Just completely swagless, no hoes. Doesnt look out of place in a bad sci fi setting.

You didn't include Arena or Daggerfall.

There really isn't a lot of difference between those sets apart from the colour, lol. There are variants of the chest piece and thigh armor, but they're the same for nearly all armors in Daggerfall, besides leather and chain

Oblivions Imperial Steel is better than Skyrim's, but I think Imperial steel looks more decorative in morrowind, which I personally prefer. Could never get into morrowind due to the combat, but when skywind comes out, I'll definitley be a skywind glazer.

I prefer most of Morrowind's Armour.

imo: dark brotherhood, ice, and orcish - morrowind leather, dwemer, imperial steel, iron, normal steel - oblivion chitin, glass, fur, bonemold, daedric, ebony - skyrim on a side note, didnt realise how good oblivion dwemer armor looks like until today, never paid attention to it but damn it might be up there with skyrim ebony for me

It seems so obvious that Skyrim's design is so much better and more artistically mastered than morrowind's armour, which seems to be designed by the same people who did the programming, that it's hard to believe that your "tastes" aren't influenced by other things. If morrowind had the same design as Skyrim with low poly models and very low resolution textures and Skyrim had the same design as morrowind with more detailed 3d models, you'd still prefer morrowind because it's morrowind.

Skyrim for most of them. It's not even a contest.

Honestly besides the Imperial Armor Oblivion is pretty awful armor design wise. Morrowind is hit or miss for the most part. Skyrim is overall better than the rest besides a few bad apples, like the garbage Dark Brotherhood set.

Depends, I like the oblivion ones the most because those are the most realistic and practical armour that would have existed in the past, also those look like actually comfortable to wear. I say this without nostalgia glasses on(haven't played oblivion) and as a history enthusiast.

Skyrim overall has the best armor designs. But as far as imperial armor goes? Oblivion Imperial Legion armor is by far the best of the three though.

Oblivion looks better with imperial armor, skyrim looks better with ebony and fur armor... Morrowind wins the overall except for the listed above

@chopsuey4698 idk man play the game. Pull out an ebony or a silver sword in first person and look at the designs. There are super intricate patterns and etchings and imo they look really cool. Its all subjective though i guess

chittin armor is armor in morrowind, in skyrim its leather and fur tied together with a shoulder being an actual armor. obviously the pitch black dark brotherhood in morrowind with the face cover and the goggles is better than the other two. The oblivion head looks like a 12 year old wearing a tight hoodie and skyrim looks like thief the dark project, skin tight texture. glass armor in morrowind is an armor made of crystals, obvlivion has a yellow paint job on a normal armor and skyrim is not even the same armor anymore, it looks like elven armor with sylvanite instead of obsidian used as extra material the morrowind leather armor its boiled leather and looks better with the facemask with the goggles, very alien, not your typical leather armor, oblivion has the best leather armor, skyrim looks like a messy mod texture that you forgot to turn invalidate older files on. the fur armor in morrowind and oblivion is armor, the skyrim dude just wrapped a bunch of skins on his body. I wouldnt call that armor. No craftmanship. bonemold armor looks fine, but thats some advanced bone molding in skyrim, looks to sleek and clean. ice armor looks like a laughable texture swap but at least morrowind has great detail on the shoulders, makes it unique while skyrim looks generic shoulder pads. the orcish armor in morrowind is a mixture of samurai and heavy orc armor, it looks unique, its really sad you cant see all the engraving in the face and chest and the shield with those low quality textures, but hey we got mods for that, oblivion armor is genghis han mongol armor with a goofy hat and the skyrim armor is sto sleek, it looks like a texture skin not an armor. Also too aerodynamic, is it gonna swim like a fish? Looks like an aquaman armor. the deadric armor in morrowind was extremely rare after over 100 hours i have yet to find more than a bunch of helmets and thats the great thing about it, tons of scary face helmets, meanwhile oblivion only had one set and as for skyrim, thats literally generic black knight demon armor design, where is all the red? What happened to the iconic design? dwemmer armor in morrowind looks goofy but fits the steampunk aesthetic, in oblivion it looks more like elven armor from lord of the rings, its as if the dwarves decided to have details and engraving instead of going for practicality, cool helmet though, the skyrim armor screams generic golden legionnaire, but they brought back the bulky boots. This video does not capture how good ebony armor looked in morrowind, the icons were top notch and it had this dark glow to it, it was a contract with black armor and golden lines, in oblivion it needs to be darker and less yellow and it needs a full face armor, in skyrim, its just a black armor with the typical skyrim aerodynamic pose, where is the yellow? You gotta appreciate the imperial armor in morrowind, the moment you saw one of these guards in a screenshot, you knew it was morrowind, sadly the two horses in the chest are of very low texture quality but we got mods for that. The tower shield is so memorable, oblivion's version of the armor is fine but its too rusty and generic, its like the empire decided to go cheap in the armors despite they conquered all of the known world, yet another stupid redesign along with the lore change to make cyrodill a generic fantasy forest instead of a jungle like it was in the older games to make the game more generic, just like they made the ghouls burned victims in fallout 4. Skyrim armor looks fine, i like the leather band and the insignia but sadly no engraving like morrowind. the video does not do the iron armor justice in morrowind, it looks better from other angles, the shoulders are too big and the chest is too belly like, but the helmet is the best of the 3 games. The iron armor in oblivion looks the best, it actually looks like iron armor, needs a better helmet though, and some arm armors and some balls armor. The skyrim "iron" armor is a joke, it does not look like iron armor, it looks like someone wore a goats head and a vest, how is this armor? So knights dont exist in skyrim? I dont care if the design is iconic, call it dragonborn armor but its not iron armor, it sucks. Sadly you cant see the reflections and how shinny the steel paladin armor looks in morrowind but the helmet is perfect and the engraving and little details are great ,too bad the texture quality is awful and the shield is unique and memorable, the oblivion steel armor also looks great but again no face armor because we gotta show those facial animations, the skyrim armor barely counts as one, it does not look any different than the other armors material wise, no arms or shoulders armor and it looks he wrapped a bunch of rags at his stomach and tighten his belt, where is your stomach armor? Absolutely horrible for a steel armor, it does not look protective at all.
