    Alvin Stardust is quite funny, I enjoyed his humour! I forgot how good Japan were, I'll have to rewatch some of their hits, Visions of China is a beautiful song, so elegant.

    I can't imagine music stars doing this today. I guess I thought those stars of 1982 were elitist and entitled back in the day but they look completely down to earth compared the the equivalent music stars of today.

    all we really had of the real Mozza was the frown at the end when Reid says 'I'm sure he will be bad again'. Other than that it was devoid of all meaningful human life.

    I went out with a chick in the eighties who looked remarkably like Nick Beggs.... Her name actually was Nicky Eggs....unreal. You couldn't make it up. Her cousin turned out to be none other than Richard Bacon, i swear. We were all into hash...browns.

    Love The Smiths and at the same time I'll always be the first to verbally tear Morrissey a new one for acting like a twat (which he often does), but I really can't see what he's supposed to have done here.     Kim Wilde, the very pleasant contestant here had a hit with View From A Bridge in the 80s which my elder sister played endlessly. Kim was/is the daughter of a 1950s UK pop singer/songwriter/Svengali Marty Wilde. I only mention it as some comments are asking who she is. As a footnote: the mix of music guests on this old show looks amazingly eclectic! Post-punk, pop, rock, 1950s throwback, new romantic…not to mention mullet Read.
