Morrissey - Mexico | Reaction!
When I googled this song, I didn't know that Moz is so beloved in Mexico. And he loves the country and its people right back. He doesn't seem to have the same feelings for the US, though. As someone who's never left Canada, I've been told that it's a shift when you enter the USA, especially a state like Texas. I don't mean to be a dick, but it's a totally different place! Anyway, this was a laid-back, introspective track with a lot of passion and vigor.

his latino fanbase is huge especially in mozz angeles.this song is very dreamy,you can almost feel the mexican heat coming off the song.
Recall when he was in Italy working on Ringleader.. and it was a similar phenomenon with both him falling in love with the country and likewise the brilliant Italian people. 🤝🇬🇧🎤🇮🇹
As a Mexican from México City, Morrissey is dearest to my heart. This song speaks to the truth of being Mexican, and let’s not exclude our relationship with the USA. Thank you for listening to this masterpiece.
As a Hispanic growing up in Los Angeles in the 80s and 90s, Morrissey was our favorite musician.
Not one of my favorites from my beloved but his voice certainly makes up for it ❤
The live version of this track is better IMO. He played it a few times when he didn't have a record deal before You Are the Quarry. We thought we would get a version similar to it but instead got this slowed down dreamy version.
