Moroccan Street Food 🇲🇦 Night Market Tour in Marrakesh, Morocco (Jema El Fnaa Square)

🇲🇦 Morocco Street Food in Marrakesh: • $1.49 Morocco Fast Foo...
👕 T-shirts: store.migrationology.com/
MARRAKESH, MOROCCO - One of the most thrilling places to eat Moroccan street food in the entire country is in Jema El Fnaa Square at night! So tonight we’re going on a Moroccan food tour to eat a few of the must eat dishes you have to try.
A huge thank you to Moroccan Food Tour (moroccanfoodtour.com/) for arranging my trip to Morocco!
Jema El Fnaa Square is a UNESCO world heritage site, and a place where people have gathered together for hundreds of years to tell stories, perform, snake charm, have food, and play instruments. It’s truly one of the most fascinating squares on earth. While daytime is calmer, at night you’ll find an abundance of street food and performer and so after a full Marrakesh street food tour in the daytime ( • $1.49 Morocco Fast Foo... ), we’re going on an ultimate night market street food tour!
We first started with Harira, a porridge soup with tomato, lentils, and herbs. It’s a hearty dish, and really warm and comforting. Along with it, you can eat dates, chebekia sweets, or my preference for msemen - Moroccan stuffed flatbread.
Here are the other places I tried:
Hassan Snails, Stall #3 - Amazing Marrakesh herbal snails
Chez Krita, Stall #14 - One of the oldest stalls at the market, and famous for seafood
Lamb Head, Stall #50 - Can’t go to Jema El Fnaa Square without a lamb head!
Chez Abdelouahed, Stall #66 - Iconic and extremely popular potato and egg sandwich
Chez Hassan, Stall #70 Herbal Tea
Jema El Fnaa Square is an overdose of everything - from music and dance, to a festival of tasty food, there are few places on earth more exciting if you love to eat!

I am American 🇺🇸, I v been to many countries, but my stay in Morocco was something else...the friendly people, the safety, the colors..the Hospitality, very western friendly, eceryone speaks english, very modern yet traditional buildings, infrastructure was outstanding, airports in every city, I suggest to take the High speed train amazingly cheap, clean and modern! I ll take both my parents and my kids next month...cant wait!

The problem with Morocco is that although the country has a lot to offer on the cultural and historical scene, it can be complicated for female travellers even if they are dressed conservatively. Not that it is dangerous, quite the contrary, but when you are tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, the catcalling, even with a male companion, is constant. It can also be a cultural shock to someone who has never travelled. Don't take me wrong: I've lived in North Africa during 3 yrs and love going to Morocco but it may not be the easiest first time destination for people who have never travelled, especially but not exclusively women. I think that to get the best of it and fully appreciate it if you need to be a seasoned traveller or have some broad general culture. When I go alone, I make sure to wear a wedding band even if I am not married (I do that for many countries)

@@miriamepage6991exactly 💯 as a Moroccan woman I'm tired of trying to explain to my male counterparts that it is not ok to catcall women in the streets no matter what they are wearing, they are not only driving female tourists away but also Moroccan women are leaving Morocco for safer countries, we just can't live like that anymore.

the more tourists it gets the faster it's culture dies, sadly that's how it works, some obscure law of nature maybe. 90s Morocco for ex felt like a totaly different planet, now most of it is west European looking with a touch Moroccan soul wit ofc your classical developing world stamp. The ppl that hada total different vision of the world, the customs that were so present or omnipresent everywhere with everyone now can be found only amogst some, tens of thousands of artisants moved to Europe, north america but especialy to neighbooring and arab countries where they are paid often 10 times what they were paid for in Morocco...etc

Also about 20% of the country doesn't trust the science and drink only sea water, saw that after the superbowl (who's your favorite team btw ?) it was on CNN again so it can't be fake I am sure. Also most pilots in this country are flat earthers, they get shaky when they see any curvature at high altitude, I wouldn't even come by plane, they are very backwards and dangerous people because of crazy beliefs, they are very very different than us, developed and civilised normal humans.

Thank you for this delightful video showcasing the culinary culture in Morocco. I appreciate your tremendous efforts and for choosing our country to feature in your food episodes as one of the most renowned content creators in this field. Just a small note, not for me or those who understand and speak English, but for those who don't. It would have been better to include subtitles in Arabic, French, and Spanish beneath the video to attract more viewers and to introduce the world to Moroccan cuisine, which is increasingly being imitated by neighboring countries. Thank you again.
