Genesis 14: War breaks out in the valley and five kings are overcome by four kings. Lot is captured in the war. Abram comes to the rescue of his kinsman and frees him from the four kings. On the return journey from the great victory, we are introduced to a wonderful character, Melchizedek. Melchizedek was a “priest of God Most High.” He will not be spoken of again in detail until the New Testament Book of Hebrews.
