You have just listened to a generational artist. Morissette is a vocal assassin. Fall into the Mori-wormhole….there you will find awe …wonderment…and JOY!

Morissette is at the top of any list of best singers in the world. She is well-known and admired by the most prolific and successful producers and song-writers in the world. She hasn't had much exposure in the USA. She is also a successful actress, song-writer, and stage performer. Those who know her personally have said she is a really wonderful person and you will agree when you watch her interviews or see how she has supported others in the industry. She brings a joyful personality everywhere she goes. She's always very engaging with her fans too. Her original songs are beautiful and I have not seen a cover (of which she has done many) which is not better than the original. Her range is from low alto to an amazingly controlled whistle register. She deserves your attention and I'm glad to see you getting to know her. You'll find she has millions of fans.

Mori is very likely the best solo female vocalist out there right now, and I highly recommend her version of 'Rise Up' and then her original 'Akin Ka Na Lang' (both also from the wishbus) as your next experiences of this wonderful talent. 1. Your comment about this being the standard to which you will judge other versions of this song - I feel a certain amount of sympathy for any singers having to follow THAT performance. 2. Looking as how ur eyes widened as U heard her voice 4 the 1st time, I can tell U just started going down the rabbit hole the moment U heard Queen Morissette's vocal tone! Hold on cuz it's going 2 B a wonderful ride as most vocal coaches on YT have discovered listening 2 Asia's Phoenix.

Morisette often times sings the song better than the original. I think she can do all genre. Try listening to her Bruno Mars medley. ☺️

Don't get me wrong there are great female singers out there who are great in their music choice, but Mori is great in all music Genre, from Worship to Rap and everything in between, she is the most complett singer out there today with hardly a weak spot in her vocals, the control she has over her full range is outstanding, such smooth transistions, then her breath control is just fantastic, she did a challange doing a single whistle note, and held the note 28 seconds, it would have been longer but she started to laugh, in her song AKIN KA NA LANG she belts a piece in one breath 17 seconds near the end of the song, going up and down the scale, just WOW, plus a couple of surprises in the song, it was writen by KIKO SALAZAR for Mori to sing on her first album, so go Morissette Amon AKIN KA NA LANG on wish 107.5bus and enjoy, after that try Morissette Amon stages sessions Quaranthemes singing Broadway Musicals starting with HOME from the Wiz, then MEMORIES from Cats, SOMEONE LIKE YOU from Jekyll and Hyde fantastic, SHE USED TO BE MINE from the Waitress and she sang the lead song from Miss Siagon, I always forget the title sorry, then comes the last song of the session, DEFYING GRAVITY and all this in a small room in lockdown with a camera and a microphone, just out of this World, all with a beautiful smile and the love of singing in her heart, you hear that in every song, ENJOY your journey down the rabbit hole of Morissette Amon. 😊
