I've been following 'lito for about 6 years. He was the first guy I ever heard that had a range like that. He was making waves before Dimash ever came on the radar. Marcelito doesn't have the stage presence or 'magic' of Dimash, but he's every bit as kind and humble, and generous. He's self taught, and came from very humble beginnings. He just did a few concerts here in the US, and is still going strong.

Marcelito is not the only male singer doing a good Celine impression. Watch the PTX version of this song, where Mitch Grassi takes on the Celine part. But granted, Marcelito doing both voices is of course extraordinary!

Plus not only did he do it in both male and female pronunciations and sounds...he did it in three langue's too his Pilipino, English, and Italian....

If you noticed at the end of Marcelito singing, he seems spitting of something and that was the time when the soul of the woman comes out from him

yep.... two voices one singer.... its real, at least here in the Philippines. Not that common, but not rare either... and its called "Doble Kara" or "two faces" in Spanish for the ability to have two different singing voices and Marcelito is the best at this.

He was a self taught singer. An abandoned kid and lived in the street but thru his talent he was able to unite his long lost family. Thank you for reacting to him. This is a great help for our artists. Try to comment to our karaoke random singers singing on malls, streets , any where. They are worthy of your reactions. Great reaction, Red! I personally think his AGT performances are better. You CAN tell he is not using any autotune or pitch correction, because in this particular performance he goes off pitch several times in the first minute (or so). After that, he seems to adjust, and he's nearly perfect for the remainder. I don't know for sure, but it might be because he was sitting down(?). It doesn't really detract from his performance because he is only SLIGHTLY off (maybe 10-20 cents). Plus, it shows how 'real' he is. On AGT he was as close to perfect as is humanly possible in every performance.

What makes this even more amazing is that he was completely self-taught as an orphan on the streets of the Philippines. He did eventually find his mother, and he met Celine. He's been on the Ellen Show. Not sure what he's done since Ellen, I lost track of him.

Marcelito has a limited command of English and of the other non-native languages he sings in, and has a fairly strong accent when he's just speaking rather than singing. He learned to sing by listening to the radio. I suspect that he's some type of Savant. Notice also that he's sitting down and therefore sacrificing about 30% of his lung power right off the bat. Other Wish Bus vids you could check: 1. Marcelito doing Power of Love. (In that case, he's channeling only Celine.) 2. KZ Tangingan doing Two Less Lonely People.

There is cliche that red headed persons have a "red hot temper" ... is it true? The way I see your reactions to Marcelito Pomoy's performance of the song "the Prayer", you're as cool as a cucumber with no trace of irritation towards the "solo-duet" that you are reacting to. Great response to what you were seeing and hearing. Amazing isn't it? I have made this comment before but would like to share it with you. Two personalities, Celine & Andrea, Female and male sounds precisely executed, in two languages - neither one is his native language which is Tagalog. I have a theory: Marcelito, is, of course, gifted with an unbelievably beautiful voice, but it is his BRAIN that can MEMORIZE exactly what he HEARS and his marvelous voice allows him to recreate it PRECISELY, even female voices, minute inflections in other singer's voices, and in accurate pronunciation of foreign languages. That strange thing that he does with his mouth after the song is because the Sound Engineers were teasing him about having a 'female voice' so he was 'removing' it. Marcelito is humble with a great sense of humor and a charming stage presence. Well, enough - I thought you might enjoy some insight into this gifted singer. Cheers.

Self taught no lessons to my knowledge. Favorite singer Celine Dion. Appeared on season 2 of AGT Champions auditioned with "The Prayer" (shocked all the audience & judges!), 1st round sang "Time to Say Goodbye (Con te Partiro)" 2nd round "Beauty & The Beast" and finally "We Are the Champions" - this was the same AGT Champions show that Angelina Jordan appeared.

Red, my fellow countryman Marcelito Pomoy was one of the first reasons I started watching reaction videos. Yes, he can be a tenor and soprano in the same song. There is a video of him where he gave control to the TV show host with an imaginary remote control. The TV host with a ‘click’ of the finger, made Marcelito change from male to female. By verse, by words in the song, to SYLLABLE! Marcelito can also sing in Italian, Spanish and Chinese! Then…there’s KATRINA VELARDE! She has, at last count, 28 voices! She can sing a single song, switching from Christina Aguilerra, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston…etc., while taking care of her baby boy! Look for Marcelito in AGT singing ‘Con te Partiro’.

I'm not sure what i just witnessed. 😮 That's some talent. It's almost as if he's doing impressions if you know what I mean.

Everyone in PH sings. They are all know these songs and every note is analysed. Using studio equipment to fix things will not get you far. They sing live all the time and this is where you would fall apart. There a many to waiting replace you :)

No one ever did that in America's Got Talent and Simon said not even worthy of any gold buzzer or even a win. Just gives an idea of how things work in the world. Fact you get talents from Philippines many professionals say is not being recognised is a travesty and shows music/talent itself is not the strongest influence in the industry..

He eliminated Angelina Jordan when they were both participants in AGT: The Champions in 2020 and yes he was impressive. But my argument has always been is there any point to him beyond watching the reaction of shocked newbies? Now that what he is going to do is predictable, I wouldn't pay to see his shows. Celine and Andrea do Celine and Andrea better, so I'd buy their CDs over his. I mean, hopefully he has other strings to his bow, I don't know, but he has slowly become akin to my dad showing another of my school friends his magic tricks. My friend's amazement becomes the entertainment while the trick puts me to sleep. I'm sure I'll get rinsed in the comments but how many dissenters watched the source video again for their own entertainment and not to get someone else's reaction? Exactly.
