She is a Grammy caliber singer. She does not always need her A6 beast mode but I love the growls and cries.

Absolutely beautiful!! This song melody, rhythm, runs, power and softness reminds me of Mariah, Whitney, and even Disney songs. It’s a beautiful song.

Great reaction Liza! She did a couple of videos in recent years (during the pandemic) that are worth checking out: Rise Up Acapella version and Fly Like A Bird. Not to mention she released a co-written/co-produced EP titled Signature in 2021 that have 5 amazing tracks worth checking out too!

Congratulations Liza. Seen over 50 reactions on this masterpiece and yours was the most authentic and fun to watch, thanks, keep up your great work. I wanted to mention, maybe you already know, there is channel "Dingo Music" with a series "Killing Voice" offering similar performances like Morissette's but they are standing and singing sort versions of their songs. There are amazing performances there in raw environment, maybe check some if you find the time, I suggest IU and Tayeon.

@@LizaQuin I have a theory about those vocal cries. I think the singers that can pull it off are people with a natural rasp to their voice. Morissette conceals hers but if you ever hear her really laughing you will hear it come out. An example is her recording 'Still Love You' the Sunset version I'll give you that link. Grace Vander Wahl the young singer has that vocal quality and sometimes it happens for her. Morissette can do it at will, or she will let it happen and those are usually bigger that the planned ones. People who have clear voices may be able to do it but I've not heard it. That rasp in some degree has to be there. Am I on to something or can you point me to a clear toned non-raspy singer who can do those breaks?

Wonderful reaction. Morissette is a world class artist. Her interpretation of lyrics and execution are stunning. Morissette works with an incredibly relaxed instrument and what separates her from other singers is the JOY with which she sings. Morissette = awe, wonderment and JOY! May I recommend 'Rise Up'...the 3rd of the Wish Bus trilogy!

I was waiting so long for you bro react to this particular performance. Beside the vocal agility I would point out her diction and stamina, control over her instrument without overdoing, without oversinging the song. She's showcasing her abilities, but just to the amount the song can handle it. For me that's what makes the true artist and musician. Check out her recent EP Signature and more modern stuff .. she's songwriting and performing with her husband. A good starting point could be Love You Still or Phoenix, but there are literally hundreds of songs and venues to explore - and every single one is worth it.

Gusto ko nang bumitaw is an incredible song. There is a newer version out with a larger backup group, not live, but she does a really beautiful, different twist on it.

In the years since nothing has changed, except that she has grown to be in the top eight, MINIMUM EVER. FTR, I am a retired professional music critic with 45+ years of listening to all the legends, LIVE, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, etc. Morissette Amon is as good as any of them.
