Something interesting about the single filament 3.0s, they've used this chip design before. I had a F2 XB fog light fail on me, and when I took the unit apart, the LED chip that I found in it is the same design as the 3.0 single filaments have, the only difference being the fog light chips had two emitters, while the 3.0s have four emitters on the chip. Really disappointed with the fact that they are still running the ZES chips in the dual filament bulbs though. I run 2.0s in my 96 F250, and for me personally, the advantages of switching to the 3.0s, if any, seem very minimal. Unless they significantly cranked up the output on the 9004/9007 bulbs and the lens-defrosting effect proves to be true, it unfortunately looks like I'll be sitting this new release out. :(

@@zafarmahmood8410 We've tested many LED bulbs over the years and every time they are used in an OEM HID projector the results show a loss of performance. The projector is optimized for HID bulb, which is also much brighter. In the case of halogen projector, we see an increase in performance. There are plenty of generic lower quality LED bulbs on the market that are made in these sizes, but you never see it from the top manufacturers simply because they know its not realistic to have a viable replacement option.

Are these brighter in a reflector headlight for a Silverado vs the SV4's?

My main concern is the Morimoto 2 stroke 3.0 with H13 dual filament still uses the older Philips Lumileds Luxeon Z ES chip technology which produce only 1.860 peak lumens when compared to the S-V.4 LED kit in H13 dual filament that produce 3600 lumens with much higher light output. Therefore, which would you recommend would provide the highest light output and better beam pattern in a reflector housing?

@@LightwerkzGlobal I have, if you read the description it is to focus more light on the road, which is down not up. Read the info on the picture of the shade cup. And it's called a shade cup, not a light reflector.

  • @LightwerkzGlobal

@@Auto1383 I think we must be misunderstanding one another. Thats alright! The Shade Cup aka Micro Optical Reflector aka Reflector on the LED bulb puts the light directly above the bulb unlike other designs on the market. This makes the car's reflector more efficient. I suppose we both know that though as we understand the design.
