He took what Peirs suggested of a Republican not wanting an opposing party leader to serve to terms, and refused it by automatically equating it to race, and when Peirs said the Republicans tried the same thing on Bush, Freeman dismissed him. Looks more to me like Freeman is a hypocrite who will still pull the race card if it means defending his preferred political party, and scrutinising his personal political rivals.

Well is just more likely if you consider statistics and studies. The criminal rate among black people is higher than the rate among the white population. This has many different reason. You can't generalize this statistics but you also can't deny it. Not every GOP voter is racist but studies show that people who share racist oppinions are far more likely to vote GOP

Trump made the Corona Virus a political issue instead of a health issue, which caused lots of conflicts in this country and promoted the rise in cases and ultimately deaths. He closed the government for selfish reasons, such as not getting the funding for the wall he wanted to build, which was a ridiculous plan to begin with. He also wanted to take away rights for a lot of the LGBTQ community. It seemed like fear and hate was his platform to gain popularity, which is really juvenile.

How far has he fallen? In 2005 he said "Stop talking about it. I’m going to stop calling you a white man. And I’m going to ask you to stop calling me a black man." This has NOTHING to do about race.

I think he was referring to the leaders of the Republican Party at the time. Yes at the time of Obama’s election and while he was president a lot of people questioned his birth simply because he was black. I don’t think they wanted him in office because he was a Democrat but it was pushed even more by the racists and gave them a little bit more power over the people.

Sure, the US has the largest Navy and spends more money than the next 25 countries combined, but its military is only the 3rd, 4th or 5th largest. North Korean military is the largest, the comes China's, then there's Russia rivaling the US in terms of military size. But sure, the US could effectively wipe the floor with the militaries that it rivals, there's no doubting that.

Okay everyone who keeps on bringing up his interview with 60 minutes quoting him saying "Stop talking about it" saying he is contradicting himself, okay first of all you gotta pay attention he talks about it because they brought up the conversation the interviewers ask the question and he answers simple as that and that's exactly how a conversation works he did it out of necessity not because he actually wanted to. He would much rather prefer not to talk about the subject whatsoever but sadly the reality is people do not keep their mouth shut about it.

1) The Tea Party was not against the fact that Barack was black, it was his policies. 2) The Tea Party was separate from GOP ; people can do their own research on this tbh. Furthermore, it's a bit contradictory to what he has stated in other interviews

I agree that Obama has not done anything to help. As a Tea Party person myself, I see few racists. Mitch does not speak for all - yet Morgan may misunderstand the purpose. I have never seen a Democrat or Republican that did not say and try to stop the opposite party's president from running a second term. Politics - I define - poly is many and a tick is an aggravating critter that gets under the skin. Political speech needs to be based on facts rather than just mudslinging. Now, recent presidents have not impressed me because they push the New World Order on America. If Obama had not worked day and night on twisting and going around the Constitution then I would have no problem with him. He is either a puppet of the NWO or a super actor (no disrespect for Morgan). I oppose Obama, as I did the Bush's, Clintons for the damage they have done to America - not because of color or how they appear on TV or in sound bytes. It is what they do that I judge not the color of the skin or if they appear to be a nice guy (and may do the opposite of what they say so cordially). For me and for most real Americans, who would vote for Doctor Ben Carson in a millisecond compared with what I have seen and heard, it is not race - it is character (good or bad as the judge). Martin Luther King highly impressed me years ago when he talked about a day where 'we judge each other , not by the color of the skin but by the content of the character.' The challenge with liars is determined easily if words and actions seldom match - then you have a liar. In deeper context he says and meant not to make it a bigger deal than it is, not to talk about it too much. Because that will manifest.

People in the comments at their point in time didn’t understand that most black people in the US know it’s racist, tho even celebrities fall in line of status quo to not hurt their careers and say things contrary to their beliefs. “stop talking about it”, he only said that because it comforts the majority.

I used to think that Freeman had some intelligence but he just showed the FOOL.

Morgan seemed like a intelligent person, but in the end he is a actor and they are not supposed to be smart even thought some might look. The many times freeman changed his opinion on this and other matters just shows how he cant form a proper opinion by himself and always chooses the popular opinion.

I'm an independent. I don't subscribe to parties or ideologies. Just principles and solutions. I don't hate all Republicans, I just hate their platform and what many of them stand for. The same applies to some Democrats.

I had assumed Mr. Freeman was a pretty bright guy considering his successful career....very disappointing to discover he doesn't have a clue about what's going on around him, don't think he reads a lot.... I have to say I won't be paying money to see his movies in a theater anymore.....

Tyhunte Really? so if I put an "Obama sucks" sign in my store window Obama supporters should ignore it and shop there anyway? What world do you live in? The man is stupid, he's a rich man because the VAST majority of white people ARE NOT racist.....he should be expressing gratitude, not spreading divisiveness. The sad part is he seems to believe his own nonsense, so I have to assume he really is stupid.

Rolando Fuentes Exactly, and I can make a case for my opinion in many ways. One of them being if this country's white people were racist he would not be a multi-millionaire movie actor, because without white people buying tickets he would have a different job entirely...He should instead be thanking white people, but he's so obsessed with being black he can't see the forest for the trees.....sad......DVD only for me now....

Bill Clinton was indeed impeached by the House of Representatives, but the senate did not come to the necessary 2/3 majority agreement to fully process it, so he was acquitted.

While we are talking about it, it exists. I still don't understand why it is so important the colour of our skin, while human most important act to talk think etc. He is a good famous actor with many great movies and for most of us, he is Morgan Freeman. A good actor.

America is a collection of immigrants that have never assimilated into each other well that's why racism is a major theme here.In other countries full of diversity people tend to be divided along class lines,that is not to say there is racism there.

he was disgustingly incorrect. to assume that one that wants to get someone with terrible ideas out of office is "racist" takes race into account when it isn't necessarily so. and one that speaks of race as a motivational point when it isn't could just as well be the racist and given the state of the nation up until the beginning of 2017 pretty much proves it. he should have been out of office after 1 term. pretty obvious

Morgan Freeman plays so many roles that exude intelligence and class that makes us all think he's very smart. Sadly, I'm very disappointed to hear his views in this segment because it clearly shows a lack of understanding of the political process.

I agree with him on some things politically but not this

I watched him say something about don’t pay attention about race but now they say Obama and he says they are racist for not mentioning race

I’m a conservative but for some reason I really respect piers Morgan I think he’s the most un biased liberal out there.

This completely contradicts everything he said years before about racism. Which is why you should not look for answers from black celebrities when it comes to the black community.

Identitarianism needs to stop. John Rawl’s vision of identity politics have contributed negativity to the ongoing turmoil in American political rhetoric.

The only way to get rid of racism is to not talk about it.. forget it and move on.

I guess this also goes for the Democrats today with Trump.

God, isn't it the whole point of politics in a democratic system, to try and unseat the "ruling" party?

They weren't so concerned with getting Bill Clinton out of office because he actually acted like a conservative in some ways and he was nowhere near as progressive (which I think is a pretty dumb word to describe what they do, but it's the technical term for it) as Obama.

He once played god in a movie with Jim Carrey

I am a tea party member and I freely volunteer my time to inform and whatever I can to protect the constitution rights for ALL AMERICANS regardless of their background, color, sexual orientation, etc... Yes, we are a conservative group, but racist we are not. I am not "white.".. I am Filipino and Hispanic decent.. my family served the military since they came to this country.

I don't think this contradicts the other interview with Don Lemon (also that interview was 3 years after this. Believe it or not, people do have the capacity to change their mind about things). You can acknowledge that racism exists and is a problem in life while maintaining that we blow the issue way out of proportion to reality.

Is this the same Morgan Freeman who said that we cannot stop racism unless we stop to talk about, unless we stop identifying individuals as black or white. Agree or disagree with Obama or his opponents but that Tea Party guy said "get Obama out of office" not "get that black man out of office".
