@@dai-f8u Emilia already had her ASMR moment. Honestly “it’s been rough, hasn’t it?” is faaaar better than “I love you”. One is actually nice to hear and the other is “oh god get it away from me”

@@BelBelle468 The aishiteru is far better for multiple reason to me. The word it self is quite a strong way of saying "I love you". The repetition and the music that comes after the "aishiteru" that was closest to the ear. This scene being the first true appereance of who is believed to be the reason of the main character's endless suffering and who might of brought him to this world. And there are more reasons but I don't have the time to write an essay so we will leave it at that.

Don't read too much into "relative meeting with his lover". Ryuzu is just making a joke about meeting someone behind another's back. She is talking about Subaru meeting her (Ryuzu) behind Garfs back. But she compares it to a soap opera cheating scandal as a joke to make Subaru more uncomfortable about his scheming and secrets.

Fun fact: in the novel, Daphne decides to teach Subaru a lesson about what she's experiencing all the time (Gluttony). So she looks into Subaru's eyes with just one of hers. Subaru immediately begins to eat his own hand and arm as a result of suffering Daphne's gluttony.

Well, the answer your question from intro:- S2 Part 1 is basically establishing the chess pieces, establishing the mystery & the issues that keep on adding up in parallel (or rise exponentially?). Like even the episodes you watched should give you the idea, that now we've estabked more information about the pieces in play after introducing them just before. The game of chess hasn't started yet, but part 2 isnt entirely just solutions either, it'll still retain some parts from here and ofc will establish mysteries for s3 to solve (maybe, idk). The witch saying ily had some good headphone asmr Relative of witch meeting with lover was just a jab, as in gandma ryuuzu meeting with Subaru. Garfield calls ryuuzu as grandma or old hag

​@@alaimoon5250 Its basic logic, and I can go back and read again but im pretty sure its stated. The real witch is sealed with yin magic. The only way she can take physical form here is by possessing Emilia who is stated to have been swallowed when the shadow arrived. There is never again a representation like this despite the shadow appearing in numerous other loops later in the Novel. It's also explicitly stated by Betelgeuse that the main goal of the witch cult is to find a vessel (Emilia) to put the WOE into. If she could take physical form without the vessel, there would be no point to the cult.

@@MonkeySaiyans Wait then are you suggesting that the witch broke out of the Yin magic seal that she's been trapped in for 400 years? The WOE cannot take physical form, thats kind of the whole point of the witche's cult. They're trying to plant her in a new vessel. In the scene everyone is absorbed by the shadow except Garf and Subaru, logic dictates that it is emilia that we see housing the witch. The shadow comes many times later in the story and we never again see a physical manifestation resembling Emilia. It not being Emilia here kind of breaks the premise of the story.

I keep trying to reply in more detail but youtube just autodeletes it. TLDR: It has to be Emilia, real WOE can't take physical form without a vessel, this is the whole point of the witch's cult. If she could break out of the yin seal then that kind of breaks the premises underneath the story.
