Yeah, when I was a boy I read all kinds of adventure stories like that. Boys can't resist those kinds of 'action' covers!! LOL. WoW, that Guns of August looks practically mint. Those Peter Pan illustrations are just beautiful - I know somebody who would love that for a gift! I have never heard of Proud Tower - I will have to look that up. When I was a kid, we had a gigantic family bible for the coffee table that was loaded with classic art. Not exactly something you would want to carry around though LOL. Thank you for sharing your ThriftBooks Haul - I really enjoyed it.

Yes I was very pleased with how nice the Guns of August seemed, especially since that one was much harder to find for sale at a decent price. ThriftBooks pleases me much more often than it disappoints me. That’s so cool that you had a family heirloom type Bible, and with art! It makes me think of those old illuminated Bibles
