    We have one of those here in Japan, put a Torsen diff in the rear ( one going in the front soon killed the standard diff ) and took 12 kg of filler out of the roof ! great wee cars they are !

    I break several front OME springs with too much droop. Leaf break right behind the stock spring perch .Now longer perches (welded) solve the problem.You can watch in my Video "Suzuki Samurai spring break" ha ha.

    Hey Kyle love your videos man! I am planning on doing the rears up front on my Samurai with the low range offroad kit. Did you have to get a longer driveshaft for the front to make it work?

  • @FortuneOffRoad

    @FortuneOffRoad

    Жыл бұрын

    You SHOULD get a longer driveshaft. After lifting it and then stretching it, the only way it can still reach is with a spacer on each end of the driveshaft which puts weird leverage on the output and pinion, and gives you two more failure points. I wound recommend the spacers. 🤙🏻

    Hi Kyle, quick question, what leaf springs are you running in the back of your suzuki? I am trying to figure out what to do with a 94 samurai that i am putting together, but it needs to run on the road as well. Great videos thanks. Keep it up. Alvaro

    Great video, I had never thought to put the rear suspension out front. Although I can definitely see the advantages of doing so (increased flex, and a small amount of stretch). Can you please estimate the wheelbase stretch that doing something like this is? Thanks

  • @FortuneOffRoad

    @FortuneOffRoad

    2 жыл бұрын

    Not a bad idea. I really don't think it would be noticeable. The shackles that lays flat is just like a shackle hanger. If you tighten them up too much they wouldn't work right off road, like how they got stuck during my install.

    Hey Kyle, a fine video for Sammy fans as always. Of I do the RUF conversion but I don't go for the YJs in the back (meaning I have Sammy rears all around), is that even doable? What could be the pros and cons in your mind? Thanks.

  • @FortuneOffRoad

    @FortuneOffRoad

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for watching! That's what I have right now. Rears all around. The only con is that the front may be slightly higher, like my setup is. The pros are that you are running the same spring all around so you only need one spare. Also it's a budget friendly lift system. Hope that helps. 🤙🏻

    Just wondering why you changed the missing link to Dr Z. Did I miss something? I am curious on how it rides the road. I noticed the shackles on the front are vertical now. I would think it would ride a little better if they were angled a little to the the front. Im running ome rears up front and cJ fronts in the rear. When i installed the CJ in the rear it leveled mine out. Noticed the most improvement in ride quality in the rear. The stock Sammy rear spring were ruff. However i am running spring under. Great Video. Been a sub from the beginning. Thanks for all you do.
