Fortune Off-Road is a channel devoted to the everyday, hardworking families out there that long for adventure. We are blessed to live a life of excess, and with that we've chosen to chase our dreams of building off-road vehicles to experience the outdoors of California, and the country. Life is too short to simply dream about adventure; we must pursue it! On this channel our goal is to share build tips, review products and trails, and encourage you to start your own off-road vehicle build! If we can build these trucks, you can too!
It doesn't matter what type of 4x4 you own or the amount of money in your build budget. Use what you've got, take friends and family with you, and start your adventure!

Badass video ! 🤘🏼
Thanks homie
What’s Cody’s IG????
@dirty_driller
Is the Molina run always in Holister?
It looks like it always is now. I think it used to be somewhere else.
Great spotting Mrs. Fortune! Keep doing these day trips and you're bound to make drivers out of these boys.
One can hope!
Excellent run! Was damage to the Tacoma detrimental to his drive home?
@MrKim-kv2vv it sounds like it didn't affect the drive back!
No issue driving home at all, been driving her for short errands all week - just not using 4 wheel drive until husband installs beefed up front diff mount this weekend :)
@@theKandaceRogers Thanks for the update. Curious as to what broke. You have a YT channel?
Tocoma armor got a workout :)
Great video. Fun and informative. I have the portable AllTop single and love it. It works great for me. I will most likely be making some mods to it, but its great.
Thanks! I know a few people that have that one and they all seem happy with it.
Get lava lock handles!
I should!
@@FortuneOffRoad I just did mine with the lava lock handles (about 17$ on Amazon) but I found those when I was looking to purchase the ones you have. Many thanks!
Do a wheelie!!!
I do!
full video coming?
Hopefully tomorrow!
This is anything BUT a Suzuki Samurai 😂
Whaaaa
really enjoyed your video. Just ordered gasket for mine, Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Good luck with your mods
My pod lights have a yellow and white cable for extra light features and cycles, should I just leave those off or where should I wire them too? I believe one is for turning signals and the other for DLR
I'm not sure about that. Sometimes the yellow needs to be hooked up to a momentary switch ti cycle modes. Otherwise you can just touch it to a power source and leave it on the mode you want.
What enabled the 1”” stretch? Wanting to do this with my CJ
Ruff stuff spring perches with extra holes
What size tires?
38x13.50r17
Nice install and all but this solution will introduce a lot of corrosion in all but the driest climates.
Right about that!
Hey man, how can you tell this work needs to be done? Just picked up an '88 and a shop I took it to recommended it but I can't tell if the car actually needs it. Any telltale signs beyond knowing the time since last rebuild?
Time since last rebuild is a good indicator. If you don't know when it was, it's probably time
Bro, I'm so thankful for just a even kill, non competition comparison. There are always pros and cons and you laid it out nicely without trying to push anything...thanks!
Thanks for the feedback!
9.2 is sick dude! Traction AF.
Im converting a 86 tin top to led....
Nice it's a great upgrade
Nice
Nice video with solid upgrades. And you’re even patient with some of the obnoxious commenting.
Thanks dude! I just do youtube for the fun of it!
Hey man. I am looking at both precision fit leather seats such as these and precision fit Carhartt covers. I have a 2010 f150 with tan seats. Do these have tan versions? I work at a body shop and cut grass. I get a lot of dust in my truck. Do you think that i should go for something easier to wash?
These are great, but are a really tight fit. I think carhartt would probably be a better route for washing
@@FortuneOffRoad Thanks. I really do like the look of the Carhartt, though leather is nicer. I think the canvas will hold up for a long time too.
Can you please tell me what is the model number to your toolbox. According to the Amazon one you put in this description it is the 117 model extra wide, is this correct? Looks like a perfect size to me but it oes not look to be 27 inch wide. I would like to get the exact same size box. Can you measure it for me, Thank You, Robert
Great video! I have both Weber go anywhere charcoal and gas grill definitely get the gas one also! I use it for a quick sear when it's not worth lighting up charcoal for and it's perfect! Keep rocking dude!
Thanks mam! I'm going to have some more cooks on the Weber coming soon!
Isn't it great that your politicians fly around in private jets and then require you to smog a 30+ year old vehicle?
Don't get me started on that!
@@FortuneOffRoad Lol I get it dude. Left Cali in 2014 and never looked back. Wish you the very best
Hell hole in nor. Cal? Tahoe nay. Forest?
Yeah Hell Hole, north west of Loon Lake
This what I wanna do to my 97 k1500 but never have the time to make
Might be worth it to save time and buy one. I liked the one from Chassis Unlimited.
Do u still get the smokyness from the pellets?
Oh yeah!
Great video. Thanks!
This guy is a dope. This is not the way to flat tow. Your vehicle brakes are not meant to stop another 11/2 ton vehicle being towed.
What a dope this guy is
I have a 70 HD. How can i tell if its a 3HD ????
It was say 3-HD on the housing around the differential
I started to look for rust in the floor and there wasn’t floor 😂😂😂
So you half assed it 😂
3/4 assed it 😉
@@FortuneOffRoad lol 😆
this song is so true
Hell yeah 💯👍😎😎🤠🤠
Do you a link for the fenders and wheel well cover?
They are both from Genright. YJ aluminum high fenders and TJ inner fenders
That’s a bad ass jeep!
Thanks dude!
Sick
What is the best month for this trail? I would imagine now would be a bad time due to the amount of snow melt?
I think late July or August would be ideal. It was fun in June, but a lot of water like you mentioned.
Is that 4.0?
Sure is!
What exactly was the issue with the fan in the beginning?
The fan was pulsing and I wasn't sire if it was supposed to do that. It turns out it was a normal operation.
Dang looks like you actually got to do some wheeling on the trail, i had never been there so i signed up for group 2 , had fun in the obstacle courses though, saw you and your rig but didn't put two and two together 😅
Ive tried every tier of difficulty for the event now. The hard group wasn't very hard. I'm sure we'll run into each other again!
What a great run! Trailer’s looking good, is this your first sleeping in it? Glad you had a good time👍🏻
Yeah that was the first night! What an upgrade from a rooftop tent!
Awesome dude, wish I could go hang with y’all on the trail
Some day!
looks like fun was had :)
It was!
Looks like it was a great time :)
How long did it take please for the first cook, then how long for them wrapped up in foil?
2 hours on the smoke and 1 hour in the foil
Lame grill for camping
No way, this thing is awesome!
