Worth having the US copies of Animals lps. Tracks that didn't appear on their UK lps are included. Same with the likes of The Yardbirds, The Zombies etc. That hole punch is definitely the cut-out to denote it being reduced. I have 1000+ US lps with every variant on the cut-out. The hole punch is the most common. MGM probably had a bunch of unsold returns from shops at the time so they would have drilled the sleeve and sent them back out for reduced prices. I believe that's how the US market did things. Cheers Nigel

' Vagabonds' is a terrific album, recently got that Yellow vinyl reissue that sounds great.( unlike some modern pressings). Never seen an OG of that Third Ear Band album, nice one for getting that, definitely on my want list. Pinups has some nice covers, looks a decent copy. Great sleeve too with Twiggy. Congrats on finding Black and White with the 7"..always on the hunt for that. Good finds Chris.

Hi rob ,always great to hear your comments,vagabonds is a real gem from Lizzy in my opinion,I heard that the re issue sounds great I nearly bought one but decided to hold out,glad I did ,black and white is one of my fav stranglers albums ,not expensive but hard to find a nice keeper copy,by the way I know where there is a nice copy of that third ear band album,let me know if your interested and I'll get his number for you if you like.. Great video again Chris. Τhe Animals album is great. The only "problem" is that House of the rising sun" on US version is much shorter than the one on the English version.

Hole in cove is a discount price from the record dealer to sell cheaper in the shop some have Conner cut off some have hole in them

Hi yes usually that is the case ,this time I don't think so as only momo copy's have the hole plus that didn't start till early 70s,you could be right tho.. All the best chris..

The Animals album is a beaut. The Thin Lizzy is very nice too. Pin Ups has to be one of the best albums ever which is made up of cover versions.

Hi ,yes really amazed we can still find albums like the animals in such great condition,it's the US press that has a very badly edited version of house of the rising sun ,but all in all a great album,gotta agree with pinups it's a real classic . All the best chris..

New subscriber here. In the US that hole punch in that Animals album is usually what we call a cutout. Back in the day record stores could end back LPs that didn’t sell and the distributors would cut a corner or punch a hole in the album. They would then be sold at a discount. It would stop the stores from selling them at full price. Nice find on that one.
