@@rivet6403 Yes, I did everything except the music. After being away from the Atari scene the last 20 years I decided it was time for a come back! :-) Another Falcon030 demo is to be released at Sommarhack 2019. Hope you'll enjoy that one as well.

dhedberg I remember when we were starting to remove the low screen border, then the right one and the left one, to end with the upper one. All together, that made the first fullscreens on STF (with some nope instructions to keep in sync with the frame rate refresh (the so called VBL). That was so challenging and so funny ! Demo parties were absolutely crazy events and I envy you a bit to be able to get the same feelings, just around 3 decades later. Congrats and respect to YOU !!

@@CWild-Music Those were the days! I remember wondering why the games were so crappy when the demos were so great! More than 16 colors, no borders, sync scrolling, etc. It was all pure magic to me back then. Loved it!

Great! I am wondering, is there any tutorial describing how to use the tools you mentioned to write a small Atari demo in 2018?
@dhedberg
5 жыл бұрын
The tools are basically hardware and software tools to allow editing source code (Sublime Text) and cross-assembling (vasm) on a PC/Linux/MacOS machine, transfer the binaries to the Atari (PARCP-USB and/or CosmosEx), and remotely execute them (PARCP-USB). If you have any questions, please ask at Atari-Forum and I'll be happy to help you out.
