Today I'm back with some more Mordhau Ranked 1v1 Duels using my Greatsword Build! The first match of the day showcases why you should never skip the helmet when you're making a duel class.
Plenty of players can do just fine with little (or no) armor, but the wildcard factor that one stray swing could end it all isn't, in my opinion, a good idea to bring into a ranked duel situation. In Frontlines or Invasion, it doesn't matter because you're back out causing a ruckus in a few moments. But in ranked, you might want to take it a bit less meme-y.
Other than that first one, which to be fair wasn't a bad matchup, all my duels today were super exciting and fun fights. Mordhau Ranked 1v1 Duels can be sweatfests, but it's nice when you get to go up against players who actually want to fight and not use wonky swing tricks to get easy hits in.

Platty gaminggg! Not going to lie sometimes I do the Overwatch swap in my duels depending on what the enemy is using. Like if they have some cheese-light armor build or some OP weapon like a Zwei/Halberd I'll adjust accordingly.

That's a tactical switch though, that makes sense to me. The one guy was just throwing spaghetti to the wall to see if it was done, it seemed like lol

So far I had the best luck in low rank duels with the greatsword. It can adapt to many situations thanks to the alt grip.

My kicks are the same as everyone else's. It's just about timing.
i trying to go ranked last days but i am just in fear of feints, and the worst thing that i am not always in fear and i can predict them but my nervousness always result into a panic, just a matter of time. so i still keep floating on the thin edge between gold 5 and plat 1 which is a shame because i believe i am not doing that bad by how i perform on duel servers :(

No one was afraid, he was just better at turning with the swings than I was that round lol
Every time I try to play ranked I end up waiting 10-15 minutes and still don't find any matches. I think after diamond 1-2 it is just completely inactive

It's just as well. It becomes about who can use the most unfun cheese and abuse animations the most at that point.

@@UmamiPapi It all comes down to hard reading basically, and sometimes guessing. Most of it comes from muscle memory honestly.

@@rogue-og When they start shaking the mouse like they have tremors I don't even wanna play. Had a guy do it to me, so I did it back and said "See, I can do that too." He stopped.

It is a second weapon to use.

@@Vazuzzu no it's for giving yourself the ability to add extra range to your loadout, whether that's increased speed/the ability to fight/etc
That "Monster" guy is such a scrub. All he does is spam feints and make bad gambles.

It works against newer players and the game is full of newer players lately so can't blame him for adapting what works :)
