Shields on the back don't actually provide protection against melee. They do against arrow fire, though.

To be honest, I use maul with Pavise shield on the back, just so I can tell the archers to stick it up their arse by turning around and crouching backwards towards them.. It saves your ass lots of times, even if it just catches the random arrow... Mostly from teammates shooting into melee.^^

For shield + one handed sword, you need to chamber their attack and to morph your chamber into a kick. You get a free stab with most weapon and wreck their stamina. Do this 2 times while keeping the stamina advantage, make them lose their shield, cotinue with their weapon, parry their first fist attack and obliterate them with a unstopable swing they can't dodge or parry 10/10 sometimes always work

To add onto this, if you circle to their right and use a top right side overhead slash, you can catch the back of their leg with the back of the swing sometimes.

I didnt realize toolkit was so underutilized. I've found it works best when you know your team is going to work with you a little. Smoke and spike wall can go a long way in capping an objective. A turret with fire arrows is always really nice for taking a point that's been fortified, or sniping enemy siege.

Great video, great humor, great speech and everything now let me just grab that shield and rapier alright

Shield users are easy targets mate. Stab morph into a kick, then chop his head off. Works everytime

For shields, you can actually still stab around the shield while its up. They also have terrible visibility, so if they are turtling they cant see if you kick. Additionally, shields eat up a lot of stamina, so just keep attacking and kicking without letting them retreat and they’ll run out of stamina and drop the shield

Agree on the shields, in exception to the targe and buckler, they don't hold to block, requiring more skill. They instead just reduce stamina drained when blocking.

With the shield guys, the only have so much stamina. If you continuously attack them, they will eventually run out, thus you hitting their shield out of their hands.

This only works if there are no other enemies around. If you need a fast kill you either need to trick them with Feints and Chambers or go for the kick.

To kill a sword and shield you need to jab around the shield (hardest to hit but most effective jab on your left side)

Just started the game, made a scavenger build. 1) Beat up man with fists and heal completely 2) Pick up their weapons 3) Beat up more people 4) Repeat

How to deal with shield users: Drag a stab to the outside of their shield and then back inside just before it lands, also helps to strafe around them to the side you want to do this to Spam stabs until they run out of stamina, especially with multiple teammates present Kick them. You know, the F button? Real magical stuff. You can also do an overhead drag, and jump and point your mouse down right before it lands. The arc of the blade will be entirely behind the shield if you do this.

I'm not going to lie it's one of the best videos I've seen in a while

Best combo is heater shield and rapier. Pisses me off so much. God tier stab speeds and constant blocking

Use the tool kit to make cordon off sections of the map. Put spikes in bushes to lead people into. Get more ammo before you build stuff and you can build a stationary crossbow.

This is the guide i didn’t know i needed

feint a stab at the shield and then kick the shield as they block, completely recks their stamina and gives you a free swing

The two-hander is in second mode the choice against opponents with shilds. when stabbing you can easy aim past the shild and hit them in the head..

Protips. 1. rebind stab. There are a lot of good binds that are better than on the scroll wheel. 2. Kick shield users. It works wonders.(unless they are paying attention and block your kick with a kick.) cheers.

I love how this is so helpful yet so offensive.

Underrated channel.

toolkit is good for making chokepoints on maps, or lightly increasing the defence on cap points (until they throw a firebomb then game over). you can also fully stop horses in their track with 3 planks of wood barely nailed together, which makes absolutely no sense. just make a ballista then fortify and you'll be good for a while. shielders: kick. kick so much. occasionally switch to swings so the moron leaves himself open. trying to win a stamina fight against a shield is useless.

The point of engineers building walls is for choke points.

How to deal with shield+1h people... repeatedly scrollwheel their shield until they run out of stamina, and keep scrollwheeling them until their empty stamina causes them to drop their shield and weapon... it's quite easy really... Works best on those using toggle-shields though... parry shields are basically the same as regular weapon-blocks, and function the same way...

I have a crackhead build that I made which I equipped with a hand axe, 2 sets of throwing knives, no armor, and about as many perks as I could carry. It's the only build I've made that can single handedly win a 1 v 3 against fully armored players. Mordhau really is one of the games of all time

To deal with shields: Get their stamina low from kicking them dodging their attacks out then proceed to bend them over with your Big PP battle axe and make them regret turning the PC on in the first place.

You can change the area for match making and I changed it for me and it helped tremendously

I'm a 1h axeman (no shield) with the most ridiculous op weapon in the game..... Dodge!! On a side note I deal with shields by baiting out full attack animation and follow with a stab to the face or overhead, the underwing is good for getting under the shield as well

the shield part is the funniest because it is entirely true.

Chamber thrust (they always thrust) but either morph that into a slash, or feint into a kick

Sword & Board must be my calling.

most effective way to kill shields is to run up and kick the shield. kicking an opponent stuns them and allows a free hit but you have to chain the hit mid kick so it lands before they can block it. Its pretty shitty since the kick has a lower range than it should and is also slowed down when morphed or feinted from a stab or strike so its hard to run up to them feint-spamming then going for the kick. Furthermore if you're in heavy armour it will be even harder since you're slow as fuck and will find it very hard to kick them even if you're in their face when you actually start your kick. Note: when kicking or attacking in general make it a habit to sprint forward while performing the attack, this will prevent you missing if they are too far, footwork is key in mordhau.
