Mordhau Ranked 1v1 Duels - You Can Run, And Hide, I Guess (5 full rounds)

Today's Mordhau Ranked 1v1 Duels video sees the Battle Axe build return to battle. It's the build I designed to swap in to mix things up from constantly using my Greatsword build. I'll probably mix it up even more next week, we will see.
In this Mordhau ranked 1v1 duels montage, the fights take place mostly at Truce but the last one takes place in Arena. During the final match, my opponent was trying to couch/look down to accel attacks. This is not a good idea. When you crouch AND look down, your parry window essentially drops into the ground, leaving you exposed. Also, you're projecting your attempts to accel, so most players who know how the mechanics work are going to know what you're going for immediately.
Overall, I had some good fights for this one. It's all good practice to take back into Invasion/Frontlines to help dispatch people who just run around and expect their opponents to fall for their rinse-and-repeat tricks constantly.

Tom, thank you so much for the ranked duel videos! Please do more of them! They help me improve a lot. And playing duels/ranked duels helped improve a lot. I am level 20 (50 hours played) and today I got to Platinum 2! Huge achievement for me.

Ranked duels every Friday! Don’t worry about level/game time though, it doesn’t mean much overall. Just focus on taking at least one thing that you can from every match and do your best to remember about it in the next match. 👍🏻

@@EpicBrew Cant wait to see one in a video! Ive done it once but i didnt even hit that guy at the spot you would expect. I hit him somewhere at the thighs which is a bit too low but it worked.. somehow.

@@EpicBrew Yeah i watched star wars but i forgot about that scene unfortunately 😅 My first time getting a half man was on a ogre in horde. I would guess its only possible if someone has no armor on? Would make sense.

I played ranked 1v1 for the first time yesterday despite being lvl 50 and consider my surprise when the first person I'm paired against is Tom. We had a good fun fight and it really helped ease the pain when my next match I got paired against some aggro tryhard who said I needed to get good and also uninstall. Like bro it's my second placement match and I *know* I suck, I didn't even say anything in chat but some people can't help themselves lol. Then my third match I played against BlindMilitary and he was very cool and respectful! Then I couldn't get any more matches because I assume there is no one else playing who sucks as much as me haha
