Have always loved how absolutely unholy this sounds.

Morbid Angel's finest hour. Trey and Tucker sharing vocals, Rutan on production, Trey and that fucking otherworldly, absolutely evil solo. Whole album kills, really, but this track in particular is something special.

Trey is like the only guitarist who can play chaotically and emotionally at the same time

This album made black metal sound soft. These guys are a legend.

One of the sickest extreme metal songs ever written... sick.... and the outtro solo is arguably the best outtro solo ever reacorded

the start of Trey's solo blows my mind, because it's blows my mind like, where did you even get the idea to make that sound?? it's so dark / eerie sounding and sets the perfect mood

Obtuse guitar solo. Nuclear. The moment the mirror flips, the edge, bright as you think god would be, reflecting the last light on what you perceive to know, but gives way to expansive, growing, infinite unlight.

Morbid Angel brings the world together.

This whole album makes me feel like our world getting consumed by this cosmic force with a disregard for everything in it's wake, humanity and the little bubble we live in cast aside and we live the rest of our lives witnessing the gradual degradation and degeneration of our world as we forever succumb and corrupt into an incomprehensible alien future, an ungodly distortion

Seriously can't comment enough for the solo. When it's alone it's atonal it makes little sense. Combined with the rythm section it's the best thing I ever heard. Pink Floyd would be like this if they where that heavy...these 2 minutes will live with me forever

Yes man, honestly Morbid Angel and Death Metal in general has some of the greatest, most profound and intellectual lyrics. I have always appreciated the linguistic IQ these bands exhibit in their songs. It's not just the music, but the songs gives you something to think about as well long after they are done. At One With Nothing is another great song with that idea... "Omniscient are the eyes that see beyond what we choose to see". It's nice to see others who appreciate the conceptual side of Morbid Angel. Cheers man.

The kingdom of God is now over and his angels cry tears of blood...

This is the way how really sound a death metal !

Favorite death metal album of all time. Trey mastered the art of groove then gave it some steroids. Thus we have gateways

yeah!! It' s really romantic and danceable. (first time i heard Morbid Angel was this album, a room packed with people sleeping, i'm the last one awake, volume super down and i swear, my insmonia were hardcore at the time. that night i slept like a baby. i fell in love with this album and Morbid Angel . )
