@@PureFred Rammstein seemed to have a blast preforming it live. At the time in 1994, they considered it one of their top songs and it was a frequent addition to their early setlists. The reason it wasn't included on Herzeleid is that Jacob Hellner thought the song didn't have a proper chorus.

@@NHR_Music I don't know exactly which interview the Schwarzes Glas comment is from, but it's not one of the recent ones. The exact words (translated from German) are: "Jacob wanted to push us in a direction that we didn't like. This inevitably lead to us having our differences, but we're pleased with the revised final product and we stand behind it. He didn't like the, to date, unreleased song "Schwarzes Glas" (it's only on the demotape), because in his opinion it didn't have a proper refrain. Feuerader is realy good but its better and maybe thats better than other Rammstein songs

Been listening to Rammstein for 20 years. This here is their best song. It's the most quintessential. I'm gutted that it wasn't released, but also that they really don't seem to acknowledge it at all anymore. It's omission from Raritäten is beyond me.

@federalrusya We're sure you can provide a source where he said that, right? Otherwise that's just made up and not true. Also: you realise that "Herzeleid" and "Du riechst so gut" were released in 1995? Richard wasn't an official band member for 26 years then.

@@shughume I already did. I strongly believe they made this their last song when it was rejected by the producer. The rammsteinest of all rammstein songs. Bonustrack on the last Album ever released.

@@baronhelmut2701 Jakob Helner mixed a version of Herzeleid, but the band wasn't satisfied with his mix. He left Schwarzes Glass out because in his opinion it didn't have a proper chorus.

they made Der Meister out of this demo. apparently Jacob Hellner (producer) considered the lyrics of Schwarzes Glas stupid haha

@@nexothex Nah they didnt make Der Meister out of this as by the time this tape was produced they played both Der Meister and Schwarzes Glas in concerts.

​@@doctornoob880 Wrong on both parts, all 3 songs existed at the same time and were all played at shows. Schwarzes Glas is neither a demo of Weisses Fleisch nor Der Meister.

This is the 1995 version The 1994 version is a little bit faster and longer without this fade out

My guy I just noticed your website has a mistake in it. The lyrics list one of the lines as „und unter masken wird es hart“ but the real lyrics is „und unter masken klüftet zart“ .

@@RammWikiTV nevermind. Hey will also edit other songs like this demo from the solo and the last refrain or the Album and single versions from Mein Herz Brennt. Or the compete intro from Jeder Lacht and Spieluhr. These are the little things that messes some people up.

Feuerräder is better. ✌🏻 But Schwarzes Glass have a such potential... Too bad they never released this demo, not even on Herzeleid's 25th anniversary remastering.
