This song is perfect for people looking to get into fingerstyle guitar. Easy chord shapes and most of the focus is on the right hand. Also, it is a good song to practice dynamics and phrasing on. I'm pretty sure that the album recording here is hybrid picked, but fingerstyle works fantastically too.

When days were brighter before the world killed my soul. When I hear this song it takes me back to the days spent in school before the 7th grade. And also the days when I taught my younger sister the secrets of the amusement park that existed on the astral planes. I will never forget swinging on the swings in my 20's and talking about the fair grounds of beyond as we looked at the town fair. Town development has killed it all as there is not much room left for the Thomas Shows. Saw you guys on a video! Hi!! And for every one who reads this comment, Hi! Well, all religious beliefs are a little schizoid that go beyond religion as a way to keep the population in check. When you claim to have a spiritual connection and can communicate to God, angels, and the deceased society tends to get edgy. I think anyone who would abandon a regular worldly job to pursue a life of fantasy/religion is indeed schizoid.

i think to prove a point that metal ain't just noise is to show them Kirk Hammett's Portals EP That's some great instrumental melodic metal, and it's very tasteful Also Yngwie's neoclassical shredding is sometimes so hard hitting without being necessarily obnoxious and loud (Black Star, Lament, Cantabile, Sorrow, Brothers and others are just BLISS) And i think any Opeth fan's gonna talk your ears off how great their songwriting is (esp after MAYH) And Burzum is just about the best band to get into extreme metal, Varg's music is hella melodic at times, but still having that heavy/extreme edge
