All of their music is amazing. The I album has a few good tracks and Kingdom is a decent release. They need Sandoval back for sure though. His drumming has magical powers!!!

One of my favorite death metal albums. World class. Listen to how clean Treys distortion is. He is not hiding any sloppy playing. Never mind Sandovals battery tying it all together. Morbid Angel was a creative force to be reckoned with

This is when Trey was still using the six knob JCM 800 amps. The JCM 900 has a more complex circuit to it which makes the RAT2 boost sound a bit mushier IMO, even after the EL34 mod. That's because of the diode clipping boost in the 900... the 800 is better defined without the extra circuitry (even with the RAT2 engaged).

I found this song because of downloading a mislabeled Blessthefall song back in 6th grade. Glad I did because it introduced me to this type of stuff.

Morbid angels influence on death metal can't be overstated, their the blue print of this genre, from "altars" to "gateways" they were creating styles of death metal album to album.

What I love about Morbid Angel and all other older Death Metal is that not only did they keep it brutal but they also knew how to make a song sound GOOD. Nowadays so many death metal bands just want to be the most brutal and the most fastest that they border on the line of just being noise. I like an actual good sounding song and old school Death Metal knew how to turn Death MEtal into actual good sounding MUSIC.

Yeah, a lot of the cheaper cd's on Amazon/Ebay will be Argentinian presses of the album but they are licensed out by the real record company under a sub label (like ICARUS music for example). I collect metal cd's and a few of mine are Argentinian but sometimes it's the only way you can get an album that's out of print and as far as I can tell the quality is just as good as the Us/Eu presses.

I don't understand why people use names like Yahweh or Jehova, when the bible that they believe in explicitly states that the name is YHWH. Is God forbidden from having a name with no vowels in it? This is the litteral meaning of taking his name in vain. :)

Brought this angel album when released and still in collection today, just pure class, death metal at its finest 😮

Fuck, back in the 90's I've always heard him sayin' "... I am lunatic, a man!" and once in there, well... hard to get it out of head. :D So brings a smile on my face whenever I hear it. Great album, as all first 3 (or 4).

I consider this album the pinnacle of Death Metal. There might be other albums I prefer to listen to on a personal level but I can’t help but appreciate the whole package here; the artistic vision, the musicianship, the production. It’s almost flawless.

I love the megalomaniacle nature of this song. Amusing.

Wow, what some kind young gentlemen

The original line-up had a unique...alchemy. They opened up what death metal could be, and were unmatched in this area, and will always be one of my favorites. Of course, unstable alchemy, but I'm so happy we got several albums of them. Cynic is the other band from that era that really changed what Death Metal could be. And of course, before them, Chuck and Death, but that goes without saying.

You had Venom,Slayer and some others in the 80s, but in the early to mid 90s for the whole "antichristian/pissed TF OFF/ brutal/speed" sound? MORBID ANGEL and DEICIDE ALL the friggin way!
