Moonlight Sonata (3rd Movement) Meets Metal

Музыка

Become my patron: / 331erock
Hey guys!
Well haha. This was not easy. Not. One. Bit. Which I never expect anything to be but this was just, wow, beyond. Beethoven has always been my favorite composer to study and arranging this pretty much confirmed that. So many metal tones! If anyone was wondering, yes I absolutely got some inspiration form Dr. Viossy to tackle this. He gave a fantastic rendition and mapped it out for a guitarist. My tapping shapes are a little different than his and so is my arrangement but he initiated the tapping idea to me with some shapes that Beethoven did not mean for guitar. Thank you all so much everything. It means the world. BIG UPS for always rockin my casbah!
Best to ya

I doubt many people will agree with me. I'm a life-long pianist and studied the classics. "Moonlight Sonata" will always be beautiful in my ears. Few people know LVB was a 32nd or 33rd degree Mason and a worshiper of non-biblical gods. Christianity has sanctified lyrics for "Ode to Joy," from the 9th Symphony, they call "Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee." Actually it is written to a pagan goddess. In my teen years I learned to "get into," get inside a piece of music, whether I was playing or listening. Van Cliburn came to town and played "Moonlight Sonata" when I was 17 and I found myself in something of a trance. From that day, I've understood the power of music. LVB's music will live on as some of the greatest ever; but it does indeed have a dark side to those who have ears to hear. No telling what he'd have done with today's technology.

Alright it has got to be said. I have followed you for over five years on here, watched you conquer some amazing pieces of music, do things with the instrument most never touch much less master. Ive been playing for 20 years, and I cant even compare to half of what you can do. But Eric... you just blew my mind for the first time, truly blew my mind, and I can tell by posture, body language, and expression that this was hard for even you. It pushed your technical limitations. This is one of the most musically complex pieces that exist, considered difficult even for its intended instrument. But you nailed it, hard. How are you not making millions with your craft? Youve got more talent than many of these composers did. Raw talent.
