Jharrel jerome is a young gentleman in real life he could rap too just like mahershalla ali. I love the fact that Trevante is a former runner, Janele is a singer. Like they are all super cool casts. Bless bless this movie and everything. And they are all have golden hearts

I love Trevante's vulnerability during the car scene. Dressed as a man but still a sweet little kid.

Trevante is very handsome. Great actor. When he confessed to Kevin that no one has touched him like that after him. It felt like his heart was about to burst out of his chest. Beautiful scene. Loved the movie.

I love Andre Holland. He is so beautiful and talented and he stays wiith you. He reminds me of Prince somehow.

The chemistry between Andre and Trevante in the movie seemed so authentic. It was very refreshing to watch, I truly wanted to see so much more of their interaction: I wanted them to be together ....

I was floored when I found out the Chiron's didn't meet as well. Perfect.

The way Chiron who was so shy growing-up manages to tell Kevin, in essence : "I have always loved you " got me so I can't sleep. Yes, they are both beautiful and played the he'll out of their roles. I'm mad at my daughter for making me wait so long to see this.

Excellent actors (esp. Holland who's work in The Knick was stellar & in current Castle Rock, stellar) make the ambiguities real, as in life.

waited 3 weeks for it to get to a showcase near me. was worth the wait thou. i need to see it one more.

I actually believe the total opposite! She did so wepl and made them feel comfortable and happy that she loved it so much and she admired what they did. She also gave them a lot of space to answer the questions and say whatever they feel like without interrupting. She did an amazing job.

I'm just curious as a director / cinematographer, for gay community always fighting for equal rights, why every-time there's a gay film its always a straight man or woman playing gay or lesbian? Why don't they hire actual gay actor to play those roles? I mean, everyone in this film are straight. Not one single gay person but yet, it's a gay film. Why aren't gay people speaking up on that? Not bashing or attacking any-one, just curious as to why? So please, no personal attacks.

I think with regard to the actual craft of acting, it shouldn't matter. The sexuality of the actor is not as important as the acting ability of the person in the role. For instance take Frasier. The guy that played Bulldog ..... Gay. But he played a Hypermasculine Chick hound. LOL and convincingly. I think these two happened to capture the vulnerability of their characters perfectly. Also how do we know if they are gay or straight? I don't know that information. I guess it just doesn't matter but just because someone isn't leading a pride parade and dropping glitter everywhere they go doesn't mean they are automatically straight. Many Gay people play straight roles too so .....

Because they've chosen the actors for their skills, that are what really matters. Their sexuality isn't significant in any way, also because the character's sexuality is depicted in a very intimate way

Same exact reason why they don't hire actual doctors to play doctors, or actual lawyers to play lawyers or actual cops to play cops, etc. It's called ACTING. They hire actors to play characters. Do want them to hire an actual serial killer to play Michael Myers in a Halloween movie?

Trevante was great. Andre Holland was out of place in this movie. I felt like they had an obvious inconsistency with their age gap. He's 40. Trev is 30. It's supposed to be a "ten year" difference. Didn't fit.
