Even if this wasn't describing a lesbian encounter it is more explicitly erotic than K-pop usually gets. Moonbyul is very brave to do this. Moonbyul and all the members of Mamamoo have always supported Lgbtq in words and actions. I do think people also need to give a lot of credit to Seori. It's Moonbyul's song but she's participating as the partner here. Also there was a strong current of this in G999 and the two songs are supposed to be part of a story arc on the album, so props to Mirani as well.

She has wrote lyrics mentioning a male love interest or using the word 'boy' before, especially during their rookie days. But I do agree that this is iconic, I love some good representation(just like I love Moonbyul)❤️

The music video and the lyrics paint a beautiful image and without being too explicit. It's so poetic and Moonbyul and Seori did an amazing job in portraying love/sex between women without even needing to touch each other once in the mv although it's implied by the actions and the lyrics

EXACTLY this is how we know byul isn't queerbaiting, not that she ever does but kpop does, and this song and mv are not made for the male gaze. this is subtle, yet in your face sapphic love.

Re: Seori's pronunciation: I've watched a couple Korean reactions to her songs where they didn't understand what she was saying. Heck, I didn't realize her song "Trigger" was entirely in English for a while. I find her pronunciation… refreshing? In representation stuff, both the MVs for Seori's "Lovers in the Night" and (with Jae/eaJ) "Dive With You" (more clearly in MV) feature couples I read as queer. idk if it's Seori or some of the other folks at Atispaus or both, but it's lovely to see.

Agreed! Seori has a way of enunciating and pronouncing words that's different and awesome. Her sound totally reminds me of an indie vocal. I watched the MV "dive with you" with Eaj, but I dont recall noticing the queer animation. I may have to go back and look haha

I was a little scared because the theories pointed out that Seori was going to be a past lover of Moonbyul, in a certain way the song promised to be distressing but IT TURNED TO BE THE OPPOSITE! I don't think I'll ever be able to express all the love and admiration I have for Moonbyul, both as an artist and as a person. She will always go beyond my expectations, she'll be so poetic with each of her works that it's impossible not to love her, in addition to that knowing that she broke her own "no-gender" rule in her songs, here she did it so that there would be no a bad interpretation "platonic" between two women. When I read the lyrics (on twt because there was chaos there) I was surprised how she in such an erotically poetic way related the background of this song, showing it through something so domestic with 'hidden' meanings everywhere Anyway, thank you very much for reacting to the song :)))
