To all the non-Bisaya speaking people who didn't grow up with Usahay on the local radio especially as a Mindanaoan, this song hits so differently. More than the vocals.

This made my eyes teary coz we used to sing USAHAY with my family,my brothers and sister when we were just kids while my Papa is playing the guitar.

Itt hits different when you watch this early in the morning while the room is dark.

This cover will be the next “Akin Ka Na Lang”. It is so smooth and pleasant. She sang Usahay so perfectly that no other singer will ever sing it better. She didn’t sing to make it sound emotional, she just sang it with her “flavor”, like the sound of a peaceful ripples of a flowing stream. Her belts were so effortlessly smooth. She truly is Dangerous to the local singing industry because no one can equal her voice. To be fair, Miri should rest for awhile and stop rehashing her old cover songs to make way for others to catch up.

Wow I'm really in love with this girls voice and the pure talent. I came across her a month ago and binge watched every KZread video about her. I really hope she enters the U.S. market because she would be a force to reckon with. She is truly a hidden gem I'm so happy to have discovered her. Love from Texas!!

Damn she is so versatile!!! She can sing Pop, R&B, Rock, Broadway Theater, and now Jazz!!!

I literally cry while listening, two of my favorite songs, "Moon River" and "Usahay" are in one video sung by the Asia's Phoenix. So surreal

However...did anyone else get a bit of a Judy Garland vibe in some of her inflections between about 1:00 and 1:30? She and her significant other, as well as the other musicians involved, really did themselves proud with this number. All the way, Mori!

Nothing to add to the comments below that this is perfection ... except to say that the deliberate addition of the "scratchy" vinyl sound adds to the nostalgia of these songs.

Whenever I hear "Usahay" being played on radio or elsewhere I can't help my self but cry :-( Then, here comes Mori's version and all the memories of this song from my late grandparents hit me like a rocket. I can still hear there voices singing it in karaoke together :-(

Really different in the Philippines. You have to sing in any genre while in the states, if you sing outside of your genre, you’re not good. Two different worlds indeed.

When I discovered mori, I became hooked up on her, even songs that I'm not familiar with became one of my fave because of her. Seriously, medyo nagsisisi ako kase for how many years, hindi ko nadiscover mga songs and covers nya, and now I'm more than a fan of her, I love all about her not just her songs hehe❤️

We were planning to be home this Christmas after 16 yrs away from home but covid ruined all the plans.
