This run was my introduction to western comics, was a long time manga reader and somehow I ended up reading this then Nova and fell in love. 100% must buy for me.

The David Finch cover all the way. I met him at a convention a few years ago and the guy is so humble. He treated me as if he was a fan of mine after noticing my wedding ring has all the different lantern symbols from Green lantern. It's those interactions with creators that make conventions fun.

David Finch is not just an incredible artist, but such a kind, gentle and humble person. His livestreams on KZread are so so good and it's no wonder why his channel has become so popular so quickly

@@KillerTacos54 Man, I totally agree. He gives out free art lessons that would cost an arm and a leg. Not to mention when he has other guest artist on his channel drawing and sharing their techniques.

When you watch the overview then look in the corner and see the book waiting to be read 🤩 This will be my first ever MK reading material

Got my copy of this last week. Some of the art in this is unreal. So so good

My comic guy just came into my work and gave me this and was like "I found this at Ollie's. Want it?" and uh, YEAH

I hope marvel will make a complete collection of this, like how they did with untold tales of spider-man and Jonathan Hickman fantastic four.

Excellent video, Omar! I never read this run. I'm more familiar with the classic stuff and the work of Ellis and Lemire, so this will be a first for me! Exciting! :)

All we need is the 2014-2018 era of Moon Knight in an omnibus, possibly calling it “Mr. Knight Omnibus”. A Moon Knight: Marc Spector Omnibus Volume 2 (which would hopefully include the rest of Marc Spector: Moon Knight, along with the two 1998 miniseries). Then a Moon Knight By Jed McKay omnibus once his run ends. Then we would have almost all of Moon Knights solo comics history collected, we would only be missing the Brian Michael Bendis run, which has a complete collection trade paperback for people interested in that run. Hopefully we can see this happen within the next few years. Might be wishful thinking, but this would be awesome.

Really awesome! I remember reading a few issues of this series (post Civil War tie-ins, maybe?), but this book looks great. I forgot how much of an artistic golden age 2000-2010 was for Marvel and DC.

As someone who has most but not all of this run in tattered paperbacks, this omnibus is a much-needed upgrade.

Just finished reading the first two trades on comixology and the art in this is just awesome. Seriously considering getting this omni now, to have it in oversize format.

I had my issues with Vengeance, but I really enjoyed the Huston era of MK.

That is NICE!

Give Caught Stealing by Huston a try very similar themes as his Moon Knight first arc.

This one and Vol. 2 both look really great under the dust jacket. I wonder why some books get the standard cover on one side and the DM cover on the other, and then other books get a really cool wrap around image.

I'll go with the David Finch cover. Deodato's Moon Knight seems somewhat weird.

"It's a faster read than the Doug Moench stuff." Yeah, but Chris Claremont issues are a faster read than the Doug Moench stuff. They're still cook issues, though. Still waiting on volume 2 and this from Cheap Graphic Novels, though.

To me, the thinner Imak paper stock always seems to make the artwork look a little flat on the pages, don’t know if that’s their printing process or the paper itself. At least we’re still getting books printed so that’s something. Thanks Omar!

Was on the fence about this one but I pulled the trigger on the DM version today based on this video.

They need to release a complete collection of the Ellis run. It’s insane home much those Trades are going for right now.

I’ve been debating all week if I should get this or Incredible Hulk Omnibus-1 by Peter David?

I've tried mapping out what I think we could get in terms of more Moon Knight Omnibus' (using the Moon Knight Chronology Project by Orion Petitclerc) and I'll admit that I've been very optimistic. But I think it's at least a good starting point as to what must be in the collections, and what could be let go of. There's definitely stuff in here that could be cut, and stuff that maybe I left out that people feel should be in here. I'm by no mean an authority on the topic and have hardly read any of this stuff so I'm not even entirely sure if MK is prevalent in some of these stories. But interested to hear what people have to say. I start to read this run just recently. 10 issues in, I am like, wait a minute, this Moon Knight character is a psychopath.

This book's a lot bigger than I expected, I'm kind of surprised it wasn't split into 2 volumes. I've heard from folks that got this early that this omni's paper is actually super thin, not sure how much of a con that is though.

I was holding it for 15 mins while reading and I felt it! It's a damn heavy book! That aside it's also a solid read for me so far! To the point where I'm satisfied with not feeling an itch to buy more comics:)

I'm almost to the halfway point of this omnibus now and it's cool and everything, but is anyone else having pages coming detached from the spine or is it just my copy? It's not too bad and I have book-binding glue to fix it, but it's still annoying.

Any news about Marc Spectre Moon Knight being collected in omnibus or epic collection formats?

This was the first US comic I ever read in English back in the day and I fell in love with Moon Knight immediately. I knew absolutely nothing about the character more than he looked cool as hell :) so IMO you can start here without any knowledge at all.

I hadn't read Moon Knight before. Got an opportunity to read "The Bottom" in TPB a couple of weeks back & had a really hard time figuring out what exactly was happening in the story. Neither were the characters known so that added to my misery. Not sure if it's a good jumping on point. Guess it's better to start with the omnis collecting the bronze age stories.

Have you read the tmnt Batman crossover. Would you recommend If you have ?

My good friend, ALL eternal fountain of information! Ed Brubaker's Daredevil run will release next month in an Omnibus. It is my understanding that this is a follow up to Michael Bendis run. Are you aware of any plans to reprint Bendis stuff? Because I don't want to buy the Brubaker run and be completely lost, since the Bendis stuff is OOO. Thanks!

Sadly that book was reprinted two years ago so it may be a while. Check with Dying Breed Collectors. They had a couple of copies of Bendis DD Omnis.

I remember telling a friend of mine that when i was a Noob and barely getting into comics i remember this book hitting the shelves but i never got it i was stuck into Civil War and Marvel Zombies lol

Just finished this omnibus and I was disappointed overall. Positives: The art was really good (for most the issues) I loved the colour and design and I could honestly just stare at a page for ages taking in the detail. Negative: Also the art the art changes for some issues and is a lot weaker and less creative. The characters also become really hard to identify because there is so little detail they just look the same. Just felt so bland and dull which is such a contract to the other artist. Negative: the action scenes are a little disjointed. I loved the gore and tone. But sometimes I’m confused like one moment moon knight would be throwing a punch and the next panel he’s on the floor, just felt disjointed like I don’t understand the full flow of the fight scenes and what’s actually happening. How did moon knight get the upper hand? Or get over powered it sometimes didn’t show me. Negative: The story repeated itself throughout the omnibus. Moon knights pissed off he then fights a villain and somehow becomes a better version of himself and makes a change. But I never as a reader understood how he ever went through his redemption arcs. So much so that there are literally points where he’s the exact same character (hurting/ killing people) then the next page he decides he doesn’t want to do that anymore. But why? How? What’s happend!?! As a reader it never explained to me how he came to that life change. I actually would keep flicking the page to see if pages had become stuck together. Negative: This is a personal dislike but I love that moonlight essentially suffers from multiple personality disorder and I felt they could have played on this more it’s a unique and creative way of bringing the character to life. It also separates him from other heroes as I don’t know many others that suffer from this. But they hardly did anything with it. The best part off the whole book for me was when Marc spectre went to get his registration to become a ‘legal hero’ you see a really great scene of his personality’s switching. Man I would have loved to see more of that! Overall I would give this a 4/10 Not the worst thing I read but I wish I spent my money on a different omnibus.

Yes. I can read War and Peace next time. If you want some one flipping pages saying: hey that’s a cool picture of this guy. Those are other channels. They are out there, hope you find what you needs.
