This pedal is exactly what I have been looking for. Something simple that will inspire new ideas. Not something overly complicated, taking me out of the zone. I just ordered one. Thanks for going through all the beat examples.

@@davidkastin4240, I honestly don't have a firm opinion yet. Sometimes I really like it and sometimes I don't. Even though you can add the fill, you can still only set up one beat at a time. So you are kinda restricted in that way. But I do think it's good for developing precise timing and working on riff ideas. I also think it sounds pretty decent. I think a two-way powered speaker would be perfect with this pedal. I am currently using the clean channel of an Orange SC100 through a 2x12 loaded with V30's. V30's are definitely not designed for full range so there are some tonal compromises. But it does sound good within those strictures.

Thanks. Love that flabby kick drum. Been looking at a lot of these pedals. Think this is the one I'll go with as it sounds the most natural. Not just the drum sound, but the groove. Some of the others sound too much like a stiff beginner drummer to me... especially the fills. This sounded alright though.

Be nice with BPM screen and Stop/Start and Fill button. Nice sounding drums.

I have the first version and have found it useful, now I'll have to decide the upgrades will be worth it. (Probably, lol.)

anyone actually gig regularly with one of these and have it stand up to heavy use?

Would this sound better into a mixer/full range headphones or PA? Or is it reverse-EQd to sound correct into a guitar amp?

How is it on added noise to the signal chain? I have a drum pedal that is pretty obnoxious with hiss and hum...

No hiss or hum, what you can hear is the simple sound of the pedal

After distortion should be good, unless you use your amps distortion in that case run it through the fx loop, if no fx loop than you're beat

The only thing you know is that when the knob is at 12 the bpm are 120.

prefer the Drummer 2 way over this one. I do wish they had put some more say gargae simple not so jazzy late night talk show music type drum beats. Most just sound too fansy shmancy shuffly not my style. .They should have a Lars setting lol

yeah some simple ones or even just kick pulse or boom-cha kick snare a drummer could use the simple foundation to play over
