Hi Steve, I love how passionate you are about Huel, however I failed to notice if you had or hadn’t told us your on the board of directors at Huel. I like seeing people get behind their favourite brands, but if you haven’t told everyone you actually have an ownership in the company then people will see it as deception, and also it can be seen as you just wanting to line your own pockets from promoting the Huel brand. I mean this in a positive way. I’m a massive fan of your podcast. It’s amazing work. I’ve watched all of your podcasts, your commitment to giving us a complete and in depth episode each time is second to none. Could you please elaborate on the points above. Look forward to hearing from you. Thankyou

I’m glad I spent almost 2 hours listening and watching you guys. I found it very inspirational, and made me think about my future plans. If you’re a CEO, it doesn’t mean that your life is perfect( actually far from that after your discussion), but also it doesn’t mean that you cannot find a balance, enjoy life and be successful. Thanks guys ✌️

This interview brought me to tears. If only more CEOs had the humility to say the company was fantastic 3 years ago but now variable and average. Work has to be done to get back to this. To many CEOs put up a front and maintain bullshit talk to keep their shareholders and staff settled. These companies usually stop growing and die. Brilliant interview 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

It's honestly so crazy how he has that much spontaneity and confidence in his decision making to just... go and do what he wants? It seems like such an easy concept and I see it all the time like "yolo" and "do it while you're young and free". But he really did just go and went for what he wanted. He may have gotten burnt in some areas in the process, but just look at the INSANE life he has lived and he's only 35? Like how?? I'm so glad for him that he no longer feels that constant cycle of anxiety and is now happy 🌞

Great episode. It really highlights the emotional weight of setting up a business. I ran a start-up in the past and when I look back, I tend to romanticize the experience and forget the hard parts. This podcast was a reality check and a reminder of those difficult moments and anxiety you can get. It hasn't deterred my goals of launching another start-up soon but I'll have to rethink about what I want my life to be like. (Also - that question: "Have you analyzed where that comes from?" Fab question Steven! Hits deep)

Well Anne confirms the same events happened but obviously she has her say on it. She basically accuses Tom of an attempted coup to remove her from her own company. Great interview. Watched it twice now. Will probably watch this one again. And quite juxtaposed to Anne Bodens story. Interesting conversation at the end about how big it is to make a decision to commit to someone. At 52, I seem to know less and less...but I do know one thing for sure...love and lifelong relationships arent a decision. It tends to be more a feeling that you just dont want to be with anyone else. I think if people let go of relationships as if they are goal oriented projects..... we'd all be so much happier.

I love his omission about the naivety. Don't get me wrong risk takers and entrepreneurs in general props to you guys, but i do often observe that a lot of them possess a simplistic view of the world and sometimes their naivety pushes them towards that risk, not realising the problems they will run into, but they end up pushing through and solving those issues because they are already knee deep in risk. Whereas my analytical mind often steers me away from risk but then I never put myself in that situation where i push to solve those difficult problems.

He could be 40+ or even 50 and still go for that family life, whereas I feel like it’s just almost impossible for women - im 34 and want to be in a relationship (but not kids or to get married) already I feel like there are not many suitable options. If there are no funds left, you have to fire your staff because there is nothing for salaries. Customer service is the best part of a business, more understanding humans need. The good thing is that, once you know where things can go wrong, you can start over from scratch and do things right the first time. I wonder if taking a health sabbatical is better than quitting. Also is running a small or medium sized business much better than an international or global success? If a book needs finishing, hire a ghost writer.
