Monty Python's Life of Brian | Reaction | First Time Watching

Monty Python's Life of Brian had me cackling the whole way through. The next animal I adopt shall be named Biggus Dickus.

The spaceship was clearly essential for the plot. How else could Brian have gotten down from the tower?

Brilliant in so many ways. It's hilarious that many who protested it missed the point of the movie: It was about people who miss the point.

Judith was played by Sue Jones-Davies a Welsh actress who became mayor of Aberystwyth. The town had prohibited all showings of the movie for 30 years due to her nude scene. In 2009 she managed to get he film shown publicly in a screening attended by Michael Palin and Terry Jones.

I'm from the city of Glasgow, Scotland. When it came out in the theatres. Glasgow was one of the many places to ban it due to what they viewed as blasphemy. Myself and a group of pals walked all the way to a neighbouring town outside the Glasgow boundaries that DIDN'T ban it, and watched it there. As for the spaceship scene, that was for the benefit of the animator, Terry Gilliam because he didn't have any animations to do for the actual movie itself, so they gave him this scene to do.

The song at the end is the most popular song at funerals in great Britain.

In the Biggus Dickus scene the guards were actually extras that were just told to stand there and not laugh, but were not told what was going to happen. That was their real reaction.

Not many people know that, not only are Monty Python exceedingly funny, but are also excellent for cardiac therapy and cheek massage.

Monty Python"s "The Meaning of Life" is also hilarious.. and one of the Pythons, Terry Gilliam (also their animator) went on to have a huge directing career.. several of his films are very Pythonesque... like "Time Bandits", "Brazil", and "The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen"... all 3 are all time classics.

Personally for me, your health is more important than a reaction video. Also I absolutely love Monty Python so this video was a highlight of my day.

When I'm feeling down in the dumps, all I have to do is put this movie on and my troubles go away. I first saw this movie when it first came out, I think I was 16, and I left with my face hurting and my gut feeling as if I had done a hundred sit-ups. This movie is a marvelous example of how religions get started. 😂🤣The "miracle" of the blind man, who can see, then falling into the hole in the ground still makes me laugh. And both of the Romans having speech impediments is mad hilarious!

Hi Amber, first-time to your channel, and because of your reaction, I just liked and subscribed. PS Love your accent (it’s not an accent where you’re from, but I never hear it in Fremantle Western Australia 🇦🇺) thanks for your reaction, Geoff.

I loved how Amy pursed her lips distastefully when the Roman Guard was told by Brian's Mother to wait a few moments. Ha ha.

The BBC TV shows were great, and you can find many of their best sketches on KZread! Examples include "The Cheese Shop," "Crunchy Frog," "The Argument Clinic," "The Lumberjack Song," "Spam," "The Dead Parrot," "The Ministry of Silly Walks," and my very favorite, "The Fish Slapping Dance." The last one is less that 90 seconds, but just thinking about the name of it has me laughing out loud!
