    This was a great video to me, I appreciate the actual real life numbers you provided (abstracts don't work for me) and your pay periods are set the same as our household. I love the orderly, neat way your pages come out. I'm a new follower for sure! great work!

    Awesome budget! I often do my budget on paper and then transfer it to excel. There is something empowering to me writing it all out and then moving the money around until I hit $0!

    Great video! And heck yes, get rid of cable! I haven't had cable for about 5 years and I do not miss it. We have antennae for the major channels and Netflix, and we love it!

    I never understand why people think saying how much money they make is taboo especially in budgeting videos idk about other people but I find it helpful. Of course u can budget well and pay on time and u make 60k a year now if u make 25k a year and still paying bills on time and budgeting well thats really helpful. Not saying this video isn't helpful at all this money taboo just annoys me

    I'm sorry that it annoys you. But I am personally not comfortable sharing my exact income online. I did include all my exact outgoing amounts, to be more helpful. There are people that I work with in my normal daily job that watch these videos and I can not share that information with them, so I just picked a round number. Thank you for understanding.

    +Favorite Daughter Emily I get it. I didn't take into consideration people u work with might watch duh lol. I still found your video very helpful. The comment was more in general by the time I saw ur video I watched like 10 other budget videos and I'm like how much do these people make that they can afford this type of budget because I'm over here pulling my hair out. Money taboos just drive me crazy though

    any ideas to help budget when the weekly pay is not a set amount? (my husband is an over the road truck driver so we don't really know until the day of Thursday

    I would budget for the "worst" pay period possible. So if he makes and average of $1000 per pay check and his worst paycheck was $650. I would just go off the $650, and then everything above and beyond that can be used of other "non-essential" things in your budget. Hope this helps

    Emily, how did you decide on the amounts for your Emergency Fund Savings and Sinking Funds?

  • @FavoriteDaughterEmily

    @FavoriteDaughterEmily

    8 жыл бұрын

    I either use monthly calculations or yearly costs. Just depends on what I'm saving for. For example my electric is an average of $70 per month. So that times 6 months of emergency would be $420. Hope this helps :)
