Montana Mule Deer Hunt Part 1 | 2023
Hunting mule deer in Montana 2023. We set out to find a couple of bucks and we did just that. I would have been just as happy shooting a white tail buck but that's not how this modern rifle hunt went this year. hunting big game in the western states like Idaho, Utah, Montana, Oregon, and Washington is a privilege that I am most grateful for. As much as I like Elk hunting though, mule deer is my passion.

Another baby buck bites the dust. You guys know what a mature buck looks like. You shot one last year. You out of staters have ruined a trophy mule deer state. I haven't seen a true trophy buck in years.

That was his first mule deer buck ever. We were not trophy hunting. We are just average guys looking for adventure. To us the experience alone was trophy enough. Thanks for watching.

@@randyredmann5690 I wish I could be happy for the guy, but, we have a big problem in Montana. 29% of total tags are nonresident and mule deer are down 70-80%. Think of it like this, you sound like a fly fisherman to me. If every fisherman kept every fish they caught what happens to the fish population? I just made my daughter pass on a nice buck last Sunday. Bigger than these bucks. She shot her first elk on Friday and Sunday was last day. I made her pass because he was young and running the show with 20 does. It's called conservation. Learn it or leave it.
