Montana Mule Deer Hunt Part 2 | 2023
On this western states Montana hunt we played a game of patience. We sat on this mule deer buck for six and a half ours before we had a shot. It wasn't extreme range but I would still consider it long range shooting for me.

Yeah that buck woulda been real nice in about 2 years. Its easiest to get upset at other hunters but really MT FWP is to blame. If we managed our mule deer as well as Idaho does we'd have some boomer bucks. Unfortunately central MT gets hammered with hunters every year and its hard for decent bucks to grow. I ate my tag this year because I passed on enough bucks that were this size or smaller. Let em grow. If I was coming from out of state id have a hard time leaving with an empty tag.
