    Watch the interview of the ex teacher of Kurt's. When Kurt got kicked out by his parents, Kurt lived on the teacher's couch for a year. He said what a good kid he was, did all the chores, polite, packed up his sleeping bag each day. The teacher said in that year he never heard once from either Kurt's mother or father.

    Yes, he did all that, and the result was not what he expected. Not every band (and I'd wager most bands) that sign contracts with DGC and MTV have to put up with what he did though. Do you realize how big Nirvana were? Listen, I get the impression you don't like Kurt or Nirvana, and that's fine, but you can still have a little empathy for him. He's a person just like you and I, we're not perfect, we make mistakes, sometimes we do stupid shit.

    God is good. Repent and believe the gospel. Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead. You can be forgiven. You must be born again. There was a woman who had an alabaster box of very precious ointment and she poured it on the head of Jesus. We need to honour the King. The Lord God. ”that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.“ John 3:15 KJV. The Lord Jesus Christ. Repent means change, change from sin. Turn away from sin. Love and fear God. Call on the name of Jesus Christ. Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you. He saved me. There is the lake of fire which is burning for eternity and there is heaven. I have eternal life in heaven because of what the Lord has done. Be ready for the day of judgement.

  • @teresas8173

    @teresas8173

    6 жыл бұрын

    Dust Particles I agree. Add to that that he was a truly a very sensitive type of person that the emotional neglect he seemed to have endured would of had a huge impact on him. I think it was the root cause of his depression and addiction. If you read about childhood emotional neglect, it does seem to fit or somewhat explain the troubles he had growing up and as an adult. Parents need to tell and demonstrate to their children how much they are loved and cherished. This does not spoil a child. It instead instills a healthy self esteem or self love, resiliency, inner peace, and happiness within, which in turn positively guides that child thruout their childhood, adolescence and adulthood. I’m not sure Kurt Cobain’s parents provided this unconditional, supportive, demonstrative love towards him. That said, we will never know for sure the source(s) of his profound unhappiness that ultimately led to drug addiction and suicide. All of this is only my opinion. I’m not blaming anyone for anything because it’s simply impossible for any outsider to know or really understand this complex man and his unique situation now that he’s gone. It’s very, very sad though. That we can be certain of.

    Maybe she was. I can see where she may have been distant, and being homeless sucks. Went through it myself...but at some point you have to be responsible for your own actions. Kurt's mom didn't make him shoot up, didn't make him an enthusiastic addict, and she didn't make him pull the trigger and abandon his family. Kurt used to be a hero to me in the 90's. I read every biography, watched every video, had every poster and CD including b-sides (back when you had to hunt them down). I guess at my age, I've started to see him a little differently than I used to. What changed my opinion? 1. The fact that he was a willing addict. I've seen interviews where people say he "loved" being an addict. He had no desire to stop. 2. Nodding off on heroin while holding his daughter and living in filth. 3. Killing himself when he had to know what affect that would have on his daughter. Those are the biggest things to me. As a father, I can't imagine doing that to my kids. Not seeking help for his addiction...instead embracing it. Killing himself. Neglecting her. How am I supposed to pity an adult man who did far worse to his daughter than his parents ever did to him?

    What?? She's just a strong old fashioned woman who may not like to show her emotions especially in a film for the whole world to see. She said, Kurt and herself they were best friends before the divorce. I believe that. I think Kurt loved his Mom and she loved him, she seemed like she really wanted to encourage him in his love of the arts. I get angry with my Mom because she can be so cold and emotionally flat at times, since my brother passed away from suicide she never cries, I cry all the time about it, even though it was 3 yrs ago. Trauma stays with you though and I bet in private this woman has shed tears for her son . Maybe she was still kind of in denial about the whole thing. but it seems like she wanted what was best for Kurt. Men tend to look for a woman like their mother when it comes to finding a mate, and he found that in Courtney. Courtney is not a monster either, all of these people have mental health issues, ok? God, people are so cruel, what a thing to say that she didn't cry during the interview, that doesn't mean she didn't love him. My heart goes out to her and Courtney, Kurt was a handful, neither wanted to see him suffer. Mental illness is something that a lot of people cannot understand until it affects them personally. It ran in Kurt's family, same with mine. Don't judge her so harshly.

    I read Kurt's biography and this woman - who was her mother - made her suffer a lot. She caused the divorce with her father - Don -. She went out with many young people, violent people. Sometimes she slept with Kurt's friends and drink. Then she caused a divorce by putting herself with a man who earned a lot of money but was already married. He was violent with her and Kurt. She wanted to kill him but retracted to marry him a few years later. Kurt was tossed from family to family, without love and without reference. He was twisted but after reading this book I realized that his parents had broken his life, and then continued. He wanted a stable life, with a laid family, but he had just the opposite. He could not bear the lightness of his mother who had become an easy woman in bars ... Kurt had a deep respect for women and could not bear to see his mother being also open and choosing bad guys... She was irresponsible. Even if Kurt exaggerated, everything he did and what became of him was due to a profound lack of affection.

    Wendy says she and Kurt were close friends but as you watch interviews with Tracey Marander she says "Kurt's relationship with his mother just started getting better" and he was about 20 when he lived with Tracey. And in Montage of Heck Kurt says the same at about 14 years old. So they always had problems in their relationships. I have no right to blame her but I believe she was always taking care of herself and her own private life. I'm a mother, too and I am terribly afraid of mistakes like Wendy's.😞

    I have compassion for Wendy in that no one can be prepared for their child becoming a hugely significant figure and you then having to retrospectively justify every decision made in a life which you never thought would be so examined. But I'm curious at seeing on the top right the window of the Montage of Heck interview with Courtney Love and seeing superficially how similar Wendy and her look. I seen my mom do this when my older brother moved out - she clung and made up stories about him because she felt guilty about how she didn't know him at all while he was with her. Here, Wendy is constantly repeating how close her and Kurt were, which is a sign that she feels immensely guilty about how she could have been there for him more. All she is doing is repeating what Kurt had already said and putting "I already knew" in front of it - she did not know. Kurt was a complex child and clearly suffered a lot of childhood trauma, this is beyond evident in his music and drug addiction. Wendy needs to accept that she cannot pretend to know Kurt for the public eye, but she just doesn't want to seem like a bad mom. I feel she did try her best, given her situation and should forgive herself and move on - Kurt would want her to.

She clearly had problems, so you couldn't expect more from a woman who couldn't even take care of herself. She did what she could at a time when there were not all the facilities there are for women today. She screwed up indeed, but you don't know her life story and you're not the one to judge whether or not she really did the best she could.

    Sweet jesus, that poor woman must be feeling some pain, her son dying at 27 she seems very sincere to me, I can tell by her voice and emotion, well I do some more research, a very fascinating interview, her name is Wendy isn't it, I think so.

    I just realized something! I notice that the mother and the sister quote phrases from a documentary about Kurt where he tells anecdotes. “kurt about a son “. curiously it seems that montage was an "imitation" with a better budget of “About a son”. (montage tells what Courtney wanted to be told) obviously

    What I see is a mother who lost an opportunity to be with her son. I don't know what went between Wendy and Don, but I know that your bad experience with a spouse can destroy the relationship you have with the children you had with them. I think Wendy was ignoring or as most people like to say, neglecting Kurt because he reminded her of Don. Not that I think she wanted to but it can't be helped. I can see that she was touched to learn that Kurt was affected by the abuse she went through from her ex boyfriend. And she seems proud of it. But it's sad that Kurt didn't get to have a good relationship with his parents and it makes it sadder that he died the way he did.

    Before we judge this women or question her let’s remember Kurt always kept contact with her and loved her. We all make mistakes but she was there for Kurt. Not perfect but did her best. No one could’ve saved Kurt and nothing could’ve changed the path he felt he was destined for

    Why do I get the feeling that she’s full of shit on her relationship with her son. How could she claim to be close to him when she kicked him out and left him almost homeless for years.

    She’s so superficial! Abandonment was a huge factor in Kurt’s depression, anxiety and drug use, throughout his short life. A lousy mother!

    She was ready to answer anything and share vital information with us. This is Kurt Cobain’s mother. The interviewer didn’t take advantage of the fact that this IS her only granted interview. He wasn’t prepared, these questions suck.
