I wonder what the owner or driver's motivation was to avoid naming themselves to the police? It's not as though he/she got any fewer points, and the fine was rather a lot more. I also wonder if he's a Posh Customs employee?

Does it matter if someone politely kills you opposed to rudely killing you? People value politeness way too much. You will see someone advocating for the most disgusting thing, but in a polite manner and people will appreciate them, while they will go apeshit over someone being in the complete right, doing the right thing, being a hero ... but being rude while at it. Kinda ridiculous.

You're salty because you identify with criminal drivers. On the other hand, I'm fairly happy most of the time. I'm not even in the top ten most prolific reporters in London. Tens of thousands of cyclists run video cameras and will report bad driving around them. From now on you'll remember this conversation every time you see cyclists on the road, and you'll think about some of us filming you. Some of our cameras are very easy to see, like GoPros, and some are nearly impossible to spot. Have fun looking for cyclists' cameras on the road. I suggest you drive properly around us all. I'm fine with police dealing with them, and I don't approve of their jumping the lights. The facts, however, show that it's not dangerous to others, and it's why police don't often deal with RLJing cyclists. Moreover, there's nothing I can do about it personally. If you want to see a classic example of the difference in danger posed by these RLJers, google "LN51 XNG" where you will see two lawbreakers, the driver being very dangerous, and the cyclist not at all.

What? Why a phone ban? That makes no sense. They should get a car ban. If you ban someone from having a phone, you are completely ruining every aspect of their life. They can't get a job or keep their current one. They can't communicate with anyone, including companies that they're doing business with. A phone ban would be an insanely cruel and unusual punishment for a traffic offense.

It's drivers like that who sit at green lights or roll forwards into other vehicles because they forget that they are stopping the vehicle due to being so focused on the phone. They also are the ones who accelerate into a stationary vehicle when they hear vehicles accelerate off next to them (right turn drivers). Just today I was the 6th vehicle in a turn lane controlled by lights. The arrow went green and no movement for about 3 seconds from the first vehicle. He/she / it slowly took off and then did a u-turn. The 2nd vehicle went through as it turned orange (start of red stage) and the next 2 vehicles just ran the red light. Of course I stopped for the red as did the vehicle in front of me. 5 minutes later the light went greeen again to turn. The vehicle in front paused for about 1 second then slowly took off and performed a u-turn. I got through as quick as I could so I wouldn't hold up traffic and the 3rd vehicle was still busy being distracted and would have gone through on the orange / red.

I totally agree with showing this careless inattention to the road. However, I'm going to offer a criticism too. I'm watching your head movements as you ride along, and every time you are looking into a car, you are not looking at the road ahead. I totally get your Gandalf Corner clips. It appears like you are on foot, on a traffic island/crossing, so don't need to be thinking about your own position on the road. I don't want to appear confrontational...I agree with your stance. All I would say is that some of these clips look like you are more interested in the behaviour of the drivers and the catch..could this be interpreted as riding without your full attention? It's clear your an experienced rider, so I'm guessing you are assessing the risks all of the time. I'm just saying that one day you might have a genuine mishap, as most of us cyclists have. It might not be your fault...but if anyone were to ask questions...could these clips be used against you?

Don't worry, I'm keeping an excellent lookout, not just for phone drivers, but for other road users around me. Seeing phone drivers is not especially different to the good observation that all experienced cyclists do. You'll also note how I moderate my speed the busier it gets. So far the police have been absolutely fine with my riding, so I reckon I'm doing pretty well here.
