@@whodunit5621 Enough for it to be illegal to ride on the footpath. Maybe you are lucky enough to have never been hit by a cyclist or motorbike on the pavement, but for those of us who aren't, it is very stressful when being passed by one.

At around 2:09 re "Do you know how long I have to turn around?" Well maybe less time than it took him to stop and argue with you. If he had all that time to stop and argue, then he can't be in that much of a rush. In any case, it's irrelevent how long the proper route takes. It doesn't excuse taking an illegal shortcut. Oh and it's perfectly legal to film and record in public.

The way the scooter riders stopped meant they knew and still did it. That’s the problem with law, if there are no consequences, then there will be no will to obey. Still, at least Roy was a nice chap.

He could have left his scooter at the top & walked to that house & back in less time than he argued about it! 😂😂

Whilst i admire the work you do in keeping the roads safe , i have to say i am a little bit disappointed that it is ok to report a car driver ( rightly so ) for breaking the Law , however you let off two Moped riders go free whilst for breaking the very same law that the car driver did . Not only is this wrong in my eyes but it is also very hypocritical . Very disappointed Mikey . Very disappointed indeed .

I will say it’s of course much less dangerous than a car doing it, so makes sense to prioritise them, but as long as he isn’t doing anything to increase risk to the moped drivers & others by trying to stop them, reporting should be fine.

The guy was not only breaking the law by driving on the pavement, but if you noticed, he admitted he was delivering and, as a learner driver, would not be legally insured to drive on the road. He completely incriminate himself as being uninsured by using the vehicle for business use.

Bro could’ve easily avoided this if he turned the scooter off and walked it past the block… It’s one of the main benefits of riding on two wheels and he doesn’t even use the advantage but instead wastes more of his own time.

I think if you are prepared to report car 4 wheels then you should also report 2 wheels! Wrong is wrong unfortunately.

It’s pretty poor that you don’t report the moped and scooters with license plates like you do with the cars, I think that shows some bias and undermines what you’re trying to do. You don’t have to physically stop them if you think they’ll fall and injure themselves, but I can’t see why you don’t report them like you would if it was a car.

Not as dangerous. The riders have a very clear view of the pavement and any possible hazards along that small stretch. There really isn't any danger to what they are doing, it's simply illegal by definition of the law. In my opinion it would be imorral to report them, as they haven't inconvenienced anyone in their acts, it would simply be petty.

@@namcat53 he doesn't need to get involved, he only needs to record the people breaking the law. You can't target car drivers and ignore scooter riders and motorcycles incaae they fall off, he could take down the registration numbers and report the same way, would still make an interesting video.

Many of these delivery riders are illegally here and also no UK licence( edit)👍 and no insurance. No end of these people get caught by the police. The companies who recruit these riders seem to looking the other way!

Yes, if a small child ran in front of a car or ran out onto the pavement and hit by a bike riding on the pavement could die, but you choose to turn a blind eye to them.😢 sad really not even a please dismount and educated a push bike rider. I don't understand why you let these guys off. I broke my coccyx in a hit-and-run with an uninsured delivery rider and I'm still in pain today. I know they're only two wheels, but they still have engine and they can still do a lot of damage (as the A&E will attest). I just don't get why you don't report them.

The guys on the scooter stopped themselves. They were committing an offence and should be reported. The cyclists should too but there's no way of identifying them. In my opinion, any vehicle using the roads should be registered to make identification possible in these circumstances.

When ever I have driver flashing at me for only driving the speed limit, its funny many of them over take me then slow down In order to slow me down. No logic or sense want so ever

I’ve never understood this argument sorry. This comment always comes up. Choosing to take a risk to save time is his/her choice, and a simple weigh up of cost vs benefit. People often choose to risk it… because they value the slight time saving enough, likely dismissing the chance of being caught. Their choice. Beneficial… perhaps. Logical… to a degree. Sensible/safe….that’s a debate. Legal…no. And I don’t agree with the decision to cut through. If like here the risk doesn’t pay off, it’s then a new situation they find themselves in. They are thinking about the benefit of arguing (and saving a licence perhaps), vs the cost of being a bit longer, which they likely can afford. There’s now logic to stopping. So it’s not a contradiction and I don’t think the simplified assessment re:I thought you needed to save time, is valid.

But the reality is far simpler: They aren't considering time gained vs time lost comparisons, or whether their licence is on the line, or anything else that cerebral. They just don't like being challenged, and this triggers their in-built pavlovian response which is to switch straight to attack mode. That's all there is to it.

I thought that learner riders were prohibited from riding for work, working as couriers, delivery riders, etc.

The employers are not really that, they get around the law by calling them self employed riders, therefore they cannot be held responsible like a company who employs drivers etc. The law needs changing and these Uber eats etc types need bringing into line with other companies who do the right thing!

I'm just back from France. In every city this sorry if behaviour is common. Bikes, ekectric scooter, cars, vans all share the roads. There is no hostility. People just get on with life without bothering people.
