This playing as soon as you hit the Jhen Mohran with the second dragonater shot during the final showdown, is beyond epic.

I know! i remember i was farming it and managed to damage it so badly i literally killed it with the Dragonator during the second part of the fight. The spikes stabed it in the mounth, wich is its weakness. Insta-kill...

What's funny is that the composer didn't want to make Tri's soundtrack after listening to the original Proof of a Hero, and then she made this version of it.

This is probably one of the most climactic fights in MH series ever. Shit, I still cry when I hear this music and memories of my first serious encounter with Jhen Mohran come back. The Theme 2, when he approaches your ship is really tense and keeps you on your toes. He has so much HP that the fight was literally balanced out to finish at the very last minute, at least in Tri. So you are hitting him and he doesn't really care that much, the dialog pops up telling you only 5 min left for the quest... then another dialog telling you that only 1 minute left. You are alraedy shitting your pants - you're not going to make it. He isn't even wounded that much and is pretty much at your ship right now. It's over. ... Then, suddenly another dialog pops up - "Dragonator is ready to use" ... !!! Shit shit shit shit, gotta hit it fast! ... You hit it, the blade connects! This music stats playing - there are now tears in your eyes... Wow! Holy Shit! It's not far from now! IM GONNA MAKE IT! AAAAAAAAAARRRGH! ... ... ... Quest failed! One of the best expieriences I have ever got from a video game in my life

Rise sounds like it'll have a pretty badass arrangement, but this will always be my favorite.

2016 I'm playing MH4U and soon will play MHGenerations, I've heard many Ost from this game and this is still the best version of "Proof of a hero" there is on this series.

To the hunters I met on that long summer. Thank you all. Each and every one of you. From my clumsy low rank to my growth in high rank to my continuation of G rank. I was constantly taught by so many people and was given great help through that generation. I doubt any of you are reading this and if you are I doubt you remember me. Probably was using a great sword with rathalos armor. I wouldn't have stayed if it weren't for your help and tutoring. I screwed up a lot, but you taught me how to better next time. You gave me a summer I cherish and got me into a series I love greatly. God I remember teaching my friend through world on how to hunt. He actually learned some better hunting behaviors that even I struggle with. We defeated Fatalis together and had one hell of a challenge. Thanks for hunting!

I’m not sure if we ever crossed paths but you do sound familiar. I wore gigginox armor and mainly used brachydios dual blades and switch axes. (Hunter name was Embers) I liked to help a lot of newbies and do G-turns lobbies so I’m sure we did. Either way it was an honor to hunt with y’all :)

I'd give anything to go back and be experiencing MH Tri for the first time again... Especially that moment when I'm freaking out, Jhen's gonna kill us all, there's nothing we can do- The dragonator! As epic as Rise seems to be and even though GU has enough content to be 4 games in itself, 3U for the Wii U will forever have my heart. It was my very first MH game and it gave me over 10k hours of pure enjoyment. Loved it to death. The underwater hunts spiced things up and the Wii U gamepad added great additional control options thanks to the screen.

Ah yes, mhgu the game with 8 new large monsters out of the 93, so 87% where old content. And tri had 18 in which 2 where old and we all know who they where rathalos and rathian, and they're in all so I wouldn't even count them.

Fromsoft: This creature is terrifying, you are about to witness horror fighting this. Capcom: See this giant dragon that can destroy our world? Please beat the shit out of it and I'll reward you some hefty gold for your dinner later.

I started my hunter career with this game, so of course I have strong ties with this theme. Lol I went from getting triple carted from a damned Royal Ludroth to soloing the Dire Miralis. All those epic hunts learning about the different monsters, getting carted by those same monsters, playing online with friends or people from all over the world hunting the same monster for hours just grinding to get that one plate/ruby/mantle/charm, etc. to become a hunter that would challenge even the god's... that's what hearing this theme makes me think of. All of your efforts culminating into this song. What a game this was. I wish I could relive the experience of playing this game for the first time.

Best version of Proof of a Hero, to be honest

There’s something “clean” feeling about this track, almost as if it projects a clarity of purpose, direction, and morality.

Its odd to think that this single song is why I fell in love with the franchise. Those og games were diamonds in the rough. Then you look at world and see how polished they can be. It really gives you pride as a hunter.

You guys know how beautiful this game is, I'm currently 17 and I played Monster Hunter since I was 5 years old. I'm just grateful that my "childhood game", you know, the one that gives you the most nostalgia, is Monster Hunter. I remember back then (when I was 5), the only video game I played were the one's you'd find in cereals. Pretty lame. Then my older brother told me " For Christmas, we're gonna get a Wii and a game with it, I think I'll take Monster Hunter 3, seems like a great game !". With theses words, and the game that came with it, he made the happiest boy alive. I was so addicted to this game, I once on a day, played it 12 hours straight 🤣. I remember watching the game's jacket and imagining the scene. Or when I first entered the deserted isle, the little cinematic and the music that came with it on zone 1. Or my first encounter with the jaggis. Or of course, the fright that I felt when I made the infamous quest of the aquatic monster guts, and I met the Lagiacrus. Anyways, I could describe everything that I experienced playing this game because I had more than a thousand hours played on it, but I'd take me the whole night. So just see it as a tiny part of a boy filled with nostalgia. And without being mean, thank to my brother for having Monster Hunter as my "childhood game" rather than Pokemon like all other children.

i started with 3u when i was 11. I don't know how you managed to play tri at 5 because i really strugled . i think i'm the only person in the world who failed first great monsters quests because of the time limit.

I don't think there's any possible combination of sound waves in the universe that would be more badass than this song. If there's a song that makes you feel like more of a badass than this, I will be utterly dumbfounded. But happy. My first time slaying a Jhen Mohran for the first time ever is one of the best memories of my life! My life doesn't suck either. I just love that memory more than words can describe. It's a massive nuclear explosion of badass nostalgia.

I remember hearing this on the game for the first time when I finally got to the second part of the Jhen battle. This was epic since I need to beat this battle to get HR 31. I gave it all with my two helpers. They made my day with this song on top of that.

When fighting Jhen Mohran, if you use the Dragonator on him during the second phase of the fight, this song plays for the remainder of the quest.

The most epic fight in the game, with one of the better pieces of the soundtrack, the real teamwork gameplay and a huuuuge mesmerizing monster.... Jhen!

This theme will always remind me of the journey I had with the older games. The struggle is real boys!

The first time that happend i swear i jumped and screamed "YEAHHH!!! WE DID IT!!" Then i realised it was still alive, but that really was a extremely good feeling! A victory after a struggle feeling!

Imagen if this plays during Amatsu fight in Sunbreak.

This gives me the same feels as Pokke Village theme does. This theme is so powerful because in the moment it plays, you realize that you are powerful and have been the entire time. Pokke Village hits so hard because inbetween all of the chaotic hunts and death defying feats, you can still come back to a place you call home and not only relax, but know that you've helped continue it's existence, and that you've earned your place home.

Maybe im biased since MH3 was my first MH game, but THIS is the definitive version of Proof Of A Hero! The ones after this are still good, of course, fitting the feel of the games they're from, but none except for MHXX's really blast that "In life, there are hunters, and then, there are MONSTER HUNTERS!" energy!

Man this takes me back to when I got my 3ds for the first time, I was 12 when I got this game for my birthday and absolutely loved it whilst playing with my cousins whenever my family got together for a occasion. Getting to G rank and then challenging Dire miralis and trying to take him down was so epic man same goes for Jhen mahron. I really want a remaster of this legendary game on the switch or 3ds again but with the internet of 4U or put it on the ps4 ffs. That would be great capcom.
