Is world easier than tri 3? I dont remember being able to solo the barroth in under 20 minutes

@@jaydenhall3605 the problem with the Barroth is that he moves too much. You have to use a rhenoplos armor (mud\show cancel) and concentrate on attacks when he's shaking his head. Pre game: I used switch axe, Able to move relatability fast unsheathed while in axe mode: long sword, light bowgun, hammer, do the same (lance only while charging forward) Great vertical reach: long sword, bowgun, lance, great sword are close. high damage output: almost rivaling a great sword and hammer in the same class. Fast follow up hits: faster than great sword anyway. Elemental discharge: makes a monster flinch about 30% of the time when you fully connect. #1 Eat something with health increase 40% And attack up. #2 Pack 2 traps, 2 trap tools and 2 thunder bugs, to keep him still for a while Aside from the usual 10 megpotion 10 potion 1 max potion incase you faint 5 meat 5 (or more) paint bombs Max Wet stones (you're gonna need them) Few Flash optional Enough Smoke to catch a brake Is it day time? Pack cool drinks Is it night time? Pack hot cocoa Starting the fight #1 mark the monster w\paint #2 Cut the tail early on it's good practice for munsters with tail swipes. #3 stay out of it's front, attack the legs, unless you want that Barroth forehead. #4 everytime he changes zone, sharpen up heal up and eat if you have to, before you go chasing. If you get caught up in his charge heal up before continuing the fight. There's no telling how many times I got KOd thinking I had enough health to continue getting greedy, just to get charged again and sent home. This is useful for Diablos too except more frantic!! And with more sonic bombs. I still play MH3 it's fun.

This is seriously like one of the best Monster Hunter battle themes.

Thank god I’m not the only one who hates fighting him in the Flooded Forest. I don’t have a problem with underwater combat (I’ve killed Ceadeus several times), but I hate fighting underwater there, with Gobul being an exception for whatever reason. Probably because of how narrow the area is...

So I never really acknowledged that this wasn't just the Lagiacrus's theme, it's also the large monster theme for the Deserted Island as a whole (great jaggi notwithstanding), so when I fought a Ludroth and heard *this* theme while swimming in open water, I damn near had a got dam heart attack

I had a similar situation, I knew the theme was an all rounder, but as a kid and in the context of the story, this theme playing while fighting lagiacrus hit very different to me, and rightfully so, he kicked my ass for a bit

Espinas being given the great forest theme for his return gives me hope that Lagi could finally be given the D. island theme like he deserves

I don't care what anyone says, this is Lagiacrus theme and you can't convince me otherwise

Troy Hunter The introduction of the Lagiacrus was absolutely BUZZING.

Always when I listen to this song, I hear a Lagiacrus roaring at the beginning.

running into lagiacrus underwater early game was one the most heart pumping moments in mh

I haven't heard this OST in YEARS since I last played MH3U, and oh my god this music is unrelenting from the start, holy shit. It just explodes with so much passion and energy at you like it doesn't care if you're ready or not. Fucking awesome. This one, Misty Peaks, and Rotten Vale stand out so much.

Just like how the Forest and Hills battle theme is in fact the theme of Rathalos, the King of the Skies, the Deserted Island battle theme is the theme of Lagiacrus, the Lord of the Seas.

@@ostracostio64 oh yeah sorry i remember every Rathian intro in newer MH Games use GF theme, but i also think Kut Ku is great since this is the first monster that we fought in GF so probably theme for both Rathian and Kutku

In my opinion. This was the most epic battle theme. Even for a beginner map

I love this, the horns are ever so slightly off key to induce panic. Just beautiful, extraordinary music

I like how we all agree that this is Lagiacrus theme. It just fits him so well!

I remember when I was hunting Epioth for their guts, when the Lagiacrus showed up, roared, and this music blasted. SCARIEST MH EXPERIENCE EVER!!

If Monster Hunter 6 doesn’t have underwater hunting, and also bring back the Deserted Island as a map…. Hoo boy, please Capcom makes my wish come true! MH3U was the best of the best!

Monster hunter Tri was my first monster hunter game. God that game was awesome. This battle theme is still amazing.

I don't think people quite understand just how fucking great this track is. Phenomenal. Absolutely great.

Well it looks like all the Flagships are returning so it’s not implausible for Lagiacrus to return. He was cut out because of problems with his spine.

@@alexeas5256 I also thought the spine was the problem But it turns out the problem was the floor its moving on The Lagi’s legs werent moving in the test gameplay and the majority of the fields where leviathans walked was flat iirc Though Fanged Wyverns like Great Jagras and Dodo were similar to Royal Ludroth in movement, it was way too strenuous for the game to compute all that for Lagiacrus Feel free to correct me if Im wrong though, im also upset that he isnt in world cuz its a darn shame to be perfectly fair

I know fear all to well then. That hopping douche kept calling a jho whenever I got within 5 feet of him. Then there was the final Moga village quest to where you had to kill a jho...god that quest killed my soul then blended it then threw it in a fire.

megablock615 well it was called into the fire for a reason. Anyways, that quest was amazing. It’s like, after you beat the high rank final boss you remember that there’s just one more job to take care of. The tyrant that was terrorizing you from the beginning. And it’s finally time for you to get payback in an even match. Amazing battle, infinity better than “ivory lagiacrus”.

I'm having PTSD of the reason why I stopped playing the game... *Has Barroth fight flashbacks* *Shudders*

Lagiacrus scared me so much as a kid. Especially when the spotted music played...

This theme brings me back memories everytime I hear it.

This game was my second monster game (freedom unite was my first) how 3 and 3 U will always have a special place in my heart and with Monster hunter Rise just a few minutes away from release, I fell obligated to come here again

I think this is my favorite soundtrack in the game :)

Even after 250+ hours of play I still don't get tired of this music.

Damn this theme is just awesome!

Epic battle theme. It get's you ready for an hard and epic battle against a lagiacrus :P

i always here this theme when im trying to pick mushrooms -.-

I really like the part starting at 0:38 especially the beautiful melody from 0:48 to 0:51. Love when it fades back in at that point when you relocate to the area of the map the monster is at. Let's keep it going people! We're talking about true team work here. Not every man/woman for themself but people asking you if you need a potion or whatever else.

Yeah I agree it's like a "Royal Ludroth theme" to me, because he's in the Moga Woods hunt so often, and Royal Ludroth is also the most badass monster until you meet and fight Barroth and the Raths, Lagiacrus and so on.

2 people got eaten by Jaggi summoned by Qurupeco. Seriously how can anyone not like MH? Epic music and battles put together with some of the most beautiful and vivid landscapes ever made on a video game inhabited by some of the most odd and awe inspiring creatures, MH is in it's own league. It keeps getting better with the newer games. I respect my 130 fellow hunters out there who liked this.

Music that really sold the Anxiety of being a hunter, fighting tooth and nail against larger than life monsters. I'm not ragging on the new games, but you really felt the danger in the older games way more.

Does anyone have a link for the Deserted Island battle music for just the mini-bosses, like Great Jaggi? That track is pretty awesome too.

I used to tank with a lance, man was hunting slow. Then I played Dark Souls and got good. I just restarted on 3 Ultimate, and I haven't fainted once now that I roll with hammer. I've already gotten to and beaten the Duramburos. Is that good?

ah boy, this song is so fucking amazing, God kudos to all the composers at capcom who make their video games with epic orchestrated scores. Lost planet 2, Resident evil 5, Monster hunter 3, and the list could go on. When i first heard this and saw lagiacrus for the first time it gave me chills and goose bumps all over my body. But soon i got the fuck outta there because i stood no chance against him in the beginning

@DenarianLord Same here. I even decided to add the Lagiacrus to my monster list, but that was a bad idea. Guy was barely 5 feet behind me when i finally got on land, and I thought "Oh SHIT HE is going to come up on land and one shot me!" Luckily he didn't.

Ive had like an unweavering ich to play this again so ive ordered the PS3 version from Japan. Cant wait to play it again, hope the music is still the same :D

@kirawan10 I didn't say he wasn't the flagship monster. He's actually pretty heavily talked about both in game and in the community. I'm just saying he isn't the true final boss everyone takes him to be.

I felt a little heartache when I fought the Royal Ludroth on Deserted island for the first time in generations, when it dived in the water and I couldn't give dive in and give chase anymore...

The island was home to an ancient civilization, and Moga moved right on in one day, so it *was* deserted. The old civilization is the ruin you see during the Ceadeus fight and a few other places

I still don't have the game, I've been wanting to get it for a long ass time, but this just makes me want to get it even more. If that was even possible.

Monster Hunter has such epic music. In fact EVERY piece of music has been written to be epic. Picking a small mushroom sets an entire orchestral suite off. I can hardly stop laughing.
